Joshua's POV:
"Colleen, do you think we did the right thing?" I asked Colleen.
"What do you mean?" She replied.
"I mean do you think we should have taken Abigail in?" I asked.
"To be honest, I don't know! I think we should let her stay the night and ask her what she wants to happen, and then we will decide" Colleen suggested.
"I guess it's sorted" I said while hugging Colleen.Abigail's POV:
I was in the lounge room thinking to myself while Gwen, Colleen's mom made dinner. I heard Josh and Colleen talking about me, so being the curious and nosy person I am, I started listening in on the conversation.
They were talking about what they will do with me. I looked at my phone and I saw that Hayley was texting me so I decided to respond.
Hayley: Abi, I'm not asking u to come back, although that would be nice, but if u could just answer and tell me were u r so I know ur ok!
Hayley: Plz Abs, can u answer me!
Me: Hay, I'm fine, but I can't tell u where I am, but I promise u im safe!
Hayley: R u sure?
Me: Yes
Me: Soz Hayley I gtg ttyl! Love ya and missin ya
Hayley: See ya when I see ya!
Just as I turned my phone off, Josh and Colleen walked into the room.
"Abi, Josh and I were just talking-" I cut Colleen off.
"Yeah I know I heard it all" I replied.
"So what do you want us to do?" Josh asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. Of course I wanted to stay and become apart of their family and all, but Scott is right. I'm a worthless piece of shit and I don't deserve to live. I'm a waste of space. So listening to my conscience, I said that I will just leave and they can get on with their own lives.Colleen's POV:
Of course I wanted to adopt her because, well, Josh and I have only told our closest relatives this, but we can't have kids. My body won't let me. Abi is a beautiful young girl and I want to find more out about her so I told her she could stay with us for as long as she likes.
"Really?" She asked.
"Really!" Josh and I both said in unison.
Abi burst out into tears and Josh left the room to let Abi and I talk.
She let everything go. She told me about her self harm, anorexia, depression, anxiety and her full life story. I told her about my life and about my youtube career and even about how I can't have kids. I then asked if she wanted us to adopt her. She said no because she is a waste of space and time.
"No your not, Abi! Your a beautiful young girl and you deserve better. Stop treating yourself so badly and thinking so horribly wrong about yourself! I'm gonna let you think about it but until you make up your mind, and I'm pleased with the answer, your staying with us!" I shouted. After I did, though, I regretted it. I shouldn't have shouted, she looked really scared so I apologised.
After that, we had dinner and I made Abi eat something, well just a few bits of homemade sushi. Then we went to bed.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Authors Note:
Hey guys I'm back. I'm sorry that the chapters have been kind of short. Chapter 6 should be longer and with way more action.
I have nothing else to say except that thank you so much for the people actually reading and voting for this book!
