I'm A Ballinger-Evans Now: Chapter 4

Colleen's POV:
Okay, I know that we probably shouldn't have taken some stranger off the streets but I guess it was the right thing to do. I didn't know how my parents were going to react but I didn't care, Abi needed us. Josh, Abi and I are driving in the car but Abi was very quiet. I guess she was kind of shy.
We get to my parents house and knock on the door.
"Coming!" I hear mom shout.
She opens the door and greets Josh and I with hugs. Then she sees Abi.
"Um, who's this?" Mom says while pointing to Abi with a puzzled look on her face.
"Uh, mom, this is Abigail" I said.
"Let's come inside and have something to eat and you can explain!" Said mom.
I was scared at what she was going to think.

Abigail's POV:
"How about we tell her very briefly what happened, we won't go into detail yet. It'll be too much for her to handle all at once!" whispered Colleen as her mom, was getting food. I nodded in reply.
The food was placed on the table and Colleen and Josh started to explain.
Half way through them explaining what had happened, Colleen's mom interrupted.
"Abigail, are you going to eat anything, it's already past lunchtime?" She said.
"Um, no thanks I've already eaten today" I whispered not wanting them to hear the last part, because they might find out about my self harm.
Colleen and Josh continued.
Once they had finished, Colleens mom engulfed me in a hug.
