“Gabby?”

“Tell him to leave, now!”

Connor left me and went to talk to the bastard. After a while I heard the front door slam shut. Tears streamed down my face. He had come back. But why? Hadn’t he done enough to me already? What more could he want?

~Connor’s POV~

“Gabby?”

“Tell him to leave, now!” Her voice was cracking. Her voice sounded so angry yet scared. I came back down stairs to see he was tapping his foot impatiently as though he was waiting for her to get ready. He obviously knows why she’s hiding from him. I don’t know what it was but he has scared her. “Leave,” I said bluntly to the guy. He was taller than me but shorter than Ricky. He had short, spiked, blonde hair and dark green eyes.

“Does she not want to see me?” he said sounding ‘heartbroken’. He put his hand over his heart.

“Obviously not. Now leave my house,” I was getting pissed with this guy.

“Fine… but tell her Michael, her cousin, came to see her,” I slammed the door in his face hoping that he got the message. I ran back up to Gabby to hear her sobbing behind the door. It hurt me to see her like this. I know I’ve only known her for a couple of days but there’s definitely chemistry between us.

~Gabriella’s POV~

Connor’s stomps could be heard from a mile away. I could hear his back slide down the door.

“Gabby, who was that?” I opened the door which made Connor fall back, making me giggle a little. I motioned for him to come in. I closed and locked the door behind him as the others made their way upstairs. I don’t know them yet. I really don’t want to burden them with my past. I sat on his bed and rested my head up against the wall. More tears made their way down my face and onto my shirt. I will run out of tears one day, I swear. Connor sat beside me and put his arm around my waist “That’s Michael,”

“He told me to tell you he was here-,”

“He’s my abusive cousin,” I cut him off before I chickened out of telling him.  Connor laid down on the bed beside me and I curled up into his chest. More tears fell as he whispered, “It’s going to be ok. We’ll sort this out together,”

After an hour of sitting I finally spoke.

“He-He did horrible things to me. Things I would not wish on my worst enemy,” I pulled the sleeves of my jumper up to reveal the scars from where he tied my hands to his bed head. I lifted the bottom of my shirt to show the scars from the cuts on my stomach. I showed him my shoulder that had tiny bruises from the needles he used to drug me with. I circled the bite marks on my leg. Connor’s eyes filled with tears as he kissed my forehead. “I will make sure nothing ever happens to you like this ever again,”
