After a full night of nonstop travelling on horseback, the group had finally managed to make it to the capital city of Rogor, Runetah. The group approached the city walls that towered above the ground below, the ice-cold stone walls were decorated in various markings and symbols that were only barely visible as the low-lit moonlight shone upon the land.
"We've arrived." Dagothur said.
"Not as long as I thought it would take." Alora stated.
"Well, if you don't take any breaks travelling, it'd not take long." Dagothur replied.
"So...Dagothur, I don't think the adventuring guild would be open at this time would they?" Antoinette inquired.
"Why would they? Even I don't wanna be up at this time." Nattie added in with a bit of a whiny voice, clearly very tired.
"Yes you'd be right, they won't open their doors for another few hours. I'd advise you three to find an inn nearby to spend the rest of the night." Dagothur answered.
Nattie's eyes instantly shot up to the rest of the group after Dagothur finished talking.
"That means we can go and sleep, right!?" Nattie said with a tone of excited relief.
Dagothur smiled as he chuckled a bit on the inside.
"Yes, that means you can go sleep." He said.
"Yes!" Nattie said as she shot one fist into the air.
"Come, I'll lead you three to a nearby inn." Dagothur said as he approached the gate inside the wall, the three girls following closely behind.
Upon coming closer to the gate, two men who sported armour from the neck down could be seen. They both possessed a sword that dangled from around their waist as they began walking in front of Dagothur, blocking his path.
"Identification please." One of the men said.
Dagothur said no words to the man as he took an item out of a satchel that hung from his waist.
It was too dark to see from where the three girls were, but the two guards immediately recognised what Dagothur had pulled out. They then quickly dispersed to their original positions as the gate to the city began reeling open.
Dagothur then returned the item back to the satchel and looked behind him to the three girls.
"Now let's find you three a place to stay." He said.
"Ahhh, yes please." Nattie agreed wholeheartedly.
Dagothur then began to lead the three girls through the city of Runetah, searching for an inn that they could stay at.
As the group trod through the city on their horses, they found it quite difficult to see far in front of them. Having to rely on Dagothur to lead them through the maze-like streets.
"It's a bit tough to see at night, there isn't much light. But I suppose if you walk around enough, you'll learn where and when to turn." Dagothur said.
"Yeah...it's hard for even me to see..." Alora said.
"Oh? Do you have some sort of eyesight empowering technique?" Dagothur asked.
"Oh...uh...I've just been told I have very good eyesight." Alora awkwardly answered, she couldn't tell him that she had abnormally strong eyesight because she was a DragonKin.
"When are we gonna get there?" Nattie whined.
"It's just around this corner." Dagothur answered.
