Yusuke walked through Mukuro's fortress as the rest of the group disbanded to their rooms. He was tired of listening to Kuwabara ramble about food. Kurama graciously went to see if he could find some for him being as though he was the only one who really needed to eat. Being back in the Demon world made Yusuke think about his ancestral father and how much he had missed Keiko in that time. She waited for him for so long. How could he even think to be unhappy? She was everything to him.

His eyes darted to the room to his right. Rin was there brushing Yukina's hair as they spoke softly to each other, something sad still behind Rin's eyes, regret. Something he had come to understand even in himself. Rin looked up at him, her eyes met his at the door and his heart, it was if he couldn't breath. Why did she have such an affect on him? That undeniable attraction he wanted to explore more than fighting.

Her hair was down her shoulders and the clothes they changed into were from Mukuro's clan. Rin's stomach was out as the shirt seemed to only cover her breast like a bra and her pants were baggy with a tie around the waist which seemed to suit her frame quite nicely.

"Yukina." Kuwabara's voice boomed over them as he searched every room for her. "Kurama found us some food. Let's have dinner together my love." He paused once he saw Yusuke there. "Hey Urameshi stop oogling at my girls!" He grabbed Yusuke's collar as Yusuke looked busted.

"I was't oogling honest!" He lied, waving his hands back and forward.

Yukina opened the door then with a smile on her face. "Oh Kazuma don't you look nice in those clothes." She complimented which caused Kuwabara to blush and drop Yusuke. He immediately leaned down and grabbed her hands.

"Not as lovely as you my sweet. Let's have dinner okay."

"I shouldn't leave Rin alone by herself." Yukina replied, sadly turning to her sister.

"I will keep her company. You guys go have fun." Yusuke suggested. Yukina took one last look at Rin as she sat on the bed, shaking her head.

"I don't need a babysitter." Rin replied leaning backwards with her arms steadying her.

"Yukina is just worried about you. She isn't the only one. You haven't really been the same since the fight with your dad." Yusuke took a seat right next to her on the bed as he leaned completely down until he was rested on the bed, hands under his head, super relaxed.

"Sorry I'm not joking with you Yusuke." She stood up and looked over out the window. "I have other things on my mind."

"Like what?" The tone Yusuke used was suggesting something underlining that caused Rin to shake her head. "Oh come on I'm trying to cheer you up." His eyebrows bounced which did cause her to laugh some.

She turned back and walked back to the bed laying down on her back, her head turned to Yusuke as she attempted to relax. "I don't need it. I told you I'm fine."

"Prove it. Tell me a joke. Make me laugh." He challenged. Rin thought for a moment.

"Okay. Why did Beethoven get rid of his chickens?" Yusuke waited. "Because they kept say, "Bach, Bach Bach." She made a chicken noise and at first Yusuke only looked at her crazily, but then they both burst into laughter, carefree and holding their stomachs as they did so.

"Wow that's the worst joke I ever heard." Yusuke chuckled. "And that's saying something when I been friends with Kuwabara this long."

"Yeah it is pretty bad." Rin agreed. They calmed and again that look into each other's eyes just never seemed to leave them. Before Rin knew it Yusuke the first to move grabbed her by the back of her head allowing her silky strands to caress his fingers before he took over her mouth with his. He sat up as Rin laid down feeling the bursting fireworks happening around them, she grabbed his hair, deepening the kiss until she moaned.

Hiei and Kurama talked how to get out of Demon world now that they were all S class demons, crossing the barriers would be insanely difficult. "Rin, Yukina and Kuwabara could go back. Mukuro was nice enough to get us a lift there, but crossing won't be easy without a container for Rin's powers to go through." He paused as he passed her room, hearing the moan that escaped her caused him to stop and look. Kurama quickly turned not realizing his true feelings then as he tried to get hold of his jealousy.

"It seems Yusuke and Rin are getting alone well." Hiei stated the obvious, hands still in his pocket.

"Yes it would seem so." Kurama closed his eyes and turned to Hiei trying to stay his cheery focused self in front of him. Hiei though could sense the change in his friend and continued to walk the path with him.

"Don't tell me you have a thing for her as well?" Kurama didn't answer, so Hiei grabbed his arm and yanked him around. "You do." He answered almost shocked.

"I can admit my time with Rin has sparked something inside of me I didn't realize. I believe the same is for Yusuke. Perhaps it has something to do with the orb that's inside of her. I knew that Yusuke had some affections for her as well." Kurama admitted then glancing at his friend. "Are you upset Hiei?"

"Hmph why would I be upset?" He asked, turning his back.

"Kuwabara and Yukina have made it official and now Rin may be taken as well. As their big brother you are very protective of them and secretly believe no one is worthy of them. You even grown protective of Rin in this small time as have the rest of us."

"It's none of my business." He replied, as he continued to walk away from Kurama, wanting to drop the subject. Kurama paused and glanced back before following Hiei to finish their conversation.

Rin slowly pulled away from Yusuke as she opened her eyes. "We should stop." She whispered, slightly pushing Yusuke by his chest so she he could give her space.

"Why?"

"You need to think about what you are doing Yusuke before you make a huge mistake."

He scoffed. "Look who you're talking to. I'm the king of mistakes."

That caused Rin to shake her head. "Think about Keiko, Yusuke. I can't..I shouldn't have kissed you back."

That caused him to sigh then. "I love Keiko, Rin. I am greatly indebted to her. I can't understand why I feel this way with you when I haven't felt this...alive in two years. I need the action, Rin. I need this."

"That is your problem, Yusuke. You shouldn't need this." She stood in front of him. "You have a good life with her, Yusuke. A life I could only hope to achieve. There is nothing wrong with normal."

"It's boring." Yusuke complained.

Rin grabbed his face looking him square in his eyes. "Then maybe you need to make that part of your life exciting and not this one." She suggested, reluctantly letting him go. She did want him, but didn't want to get to close to anyone. She made it up in her mind that Yusuke was better were he was with Keiko and she was better off alone despite the attraction between each other.

Rin turned her back and kicked her leg with a surprise attack that Yusuke caught with his hand. He smirked as he hit her ankle, knocking her foot away from her as he punched right causing her to twirl around in mid air to avoid being hit. She landed perfectly in a squat, swiping her leg to knock Yusuke on his ass. She placed her hands in the gun form to Yusuke's head as he laughed.

Later that night Rin walked around the fortress feeling a weird sense of calm as she walked out to the balcony area. Demon word wasn't as beautiful as Living world, but it had it's scenery. It was where she grew up after all. It held some good memories as she reminisced. After a moment she could feel her heart clench at her ribs as if she was having a heart attack. Her eyes glowed purple and her aura protruded from her uncontrollably.

She clenched her chest falling to her knees as her power started to drain from her body. "What's happening?" Rin started to scream right before she blacked out.
