Kurama and Rin fell forever it seemed into a body of water. His quick thinking and skill saved them though as he used his rose whip to lasso on to a rock close by land to keep them afloat. Rin wanted to help, but again the power cuffs on her wrist prevented her from using her powers. Kurama held on tight to her as they held their breath fighting the currents as he reached the top gasping for air.

Kurama placed Rin down first before wincing at his wounds and now becoming weak himself from loss of blood. Which caused Rin to worry. "Hey Kurama stay with me." He fell on his stomach though, exhausted. She turned him trying her best to get out of the cuffs, but they wouldn't budge. Quickly she grabbed his shirt lifting it up to see the wound.

She cursed seeing how deep that glass pierced his skin. Again another person she was starting to care about now hurt because of her and not to mention Hiei, Yusuke and Kuwabara fighting her battles at the castle in spirit world. That caused her to look around. Where were they?

She turned back to Kurama who was now Yoko sitting up as if the blood as nothing. He inserted a plate into his body and started convulsing as he clenched his fists as the pain shot through his body. A plant started to close his wounds from the inside and another started to etch out to the cuffs. Rin watched in awe as the plant unlocked the power cuffs releasing her.

Yoko fell back on the ground looking up at the sky as his wound was still being worked on. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He asked, dazed by the sight. "The open sky, this place, the peace and quiet. I can't remember enjoying such a thing before."

"Were are we?"

"Seems we are back in living world. I have no doubts that is where we are. On the outskirts of the city."

Rin stood up, staggering as she did so. "How do we get back? We have to help my brother and Kuwabara and Yusuke." Her body staggered back though, falling along side Yoko's as his eyes glanced over at her.

"You can barely walk. How do you propose helping them?"

Rin clenched her chest while cursing under her breath. "That stupid Koenma with his hold on me."

"I actually been thinking about that." Kurama's voice changed back to normal and his red hair and green eye were back, but he still didn't dare to move. "Rizo will now have either the Soul Orb or the light possibly both. If he knows you are connected to them both for his plan to work why is he trying to kill you?" Rin looked at Kurama as his eyes only glanced at her.

"He hates me."

"Even so...His mission will fail without you, hate or not. His motivation is that Hina will be reborn again, but once she finds out he killed her daughter it's possible she wouldn't want to be with him. His plan will still fail."

"Unless he erases her memories of us." Rin suggested sadly as she begun to think too. "The look in his eyes when he saw Yukina though. Something about his actions and his movements don't make sense to me. As if someone else was pulling the strings."

"That is a possibility."

They sat in silence for a moment until Rin leaned over resting her head on Kurama's chest, startling him, but he didn't move her. "I'm sorry if I hurt you." She said sitting up quickly remembering his wound. Kurama looked deeply into her eyes as she leaned closer something inside them both needing this. It was a small simple kiss, not like her lustful kiss with Yusuke, but Kurama was pouring something altogether different. They both cared for her that much was true, but Kurama's kiss was more passionate sensual.

It didn't last long as Rin realized what she was doing. "I'm sorry." She tried to turn away, but Kurama brought her face back to his, caressing her cheek as he encouraged her to look at him.

"Why?" She didn't reply to him. "It's because you kissed Yusuke too." Her eyes widen as if her secret was out. "He didn't tell me...I just sort of saw it...It's fine...I'm not upset. I know Yusuke has feelings for you as well probably before he himself knew he did."

Rin turned her back as she sat in the grass with her knees up, her chin resting on them. "There's this familiarity with Yusuke. We are alot alike I hate to admit. It's like i known him forever. I'm attracted to him, but..." She sensed him behind her as he squatted beside her. "There is a calm when you are around. Peace within me that I needed forever. I get lost in your eyes that tells me everything I need to know about you, Kurama. I'm intrigued."

"Really everything?" Kurama wasn't convinced knowing his past, knowing there was so much more that Rin didn't know about him, but she was so certain as she smiled at him.

"You're centuries old, but only twenty two. You changed drastically from how you use to be. A woman, I'm guessing mother, made you fall in love with humans. You betrayed your friends before which is why you are so loyal now, hoping to change the past. You are a lover, but yet you are dangerous. A fierce protector and very territorial maybe even a little jealous."

"Must be the fox trait in me." Kurama replied, looking away.

"Am I right though?"

Kurama turned his head back to her she was smiling at him which caused him to smile with her. "Yes you are correct. How did you get all that from looking into my eyes?"

"The same way you did when you looked into mines. You are right about me. I'm terrified to get close to anyone. I hurt people that get to close to me. I don't want that for you or Yusuke. I have grown annoyingly fond of you both and my brother and Kuwabara loves Yukina to pieces...I never really belonged anywhere...It scares me."

Kurama didn't respond. He only stood scanning for danger as he heard the sounds of his friends falling. Rin stood up gathering everything she could to create a shield around them grabbing the men in mid air before they hit the water. She turned to see a huge bird out of nowhere fly over to Yusuke to help them land.

"What is that?" Rin asked, amazed.

"That's Puu, Yusuke's spirit animal." Kurama explained.

"Puu!" They both turned more to see Keiko, Shizuru, and Yukina.

"Rin! Oh no Kazuma!" Yukina ran over to the ocean.

"I'm fine my love nothing but a scratch." Puu dropped them off, they were beaten and battered but alive. Keiko instantly ran to Yusuke, knocking him down, as he engulfed her. Hiei just jumped down by Rin.

"We have some bad news." He said.

Koenma and Botan rode up on her broom then waving. "What does he want now?" Rin asked, clenching her fists.

"Rizo killed the task force team and took the Orbs not one, but both of them." She informed.
