"I know what you wish for me to do and I will do it," the Goddess' soft crystal-like voice broke through the silence as she appeared across the blue fire burning bright and high from the sacrificial blood of the young man and woman watching her with awe. Joy overcame Nicholas and Miranda Sutton, joy that their first child may overcome the tragic events that brought the Suttons' to the angelic woman standing in front of them across from the blazing blue fire. Before they could voice their thanks, the Goddess interrupted them. "However, with this blessing comes power and responsibility, your child will carry a great burden, she will be the one to defeat El Chupacabra, but only if she can learn to control her powers, allow them to become a part of her..." the Goddess paused, letting her words sink in, only a light breeze could be felt on the hidden space of the mountain, the only sound coming from the shallow breathing from the Suttons' and the crackling of the fire. Slowly, she continued, "she will need courage, motivation and an unyielding moral compass to direct her between the choices of right and wrong."

Mr and Mrs Sutton take a deep breath and look at each other, taking in what their daughter's future will behold. Almost as if with one look they could see the decision in the others eye, nodding in sync before Nicholas spoke up. "We would do anything to protect our child and give her at least a shot at a full life and a fulfilling future. We will guide her through the many trails in her life beyond the best of our ability. Please," his voice breaks as he speaks the next words, "save her."

"Very well." The Goddess' soft words surrounded Nicholas and Miranda in a veil of comfort, steadily she moves around the blue, flickering flames towards the couple, as she does the direction of the flames shift in respect to the graceful movements of the Goddess. Gently, whilst raising her hands towards Miranda's left arm, circling the scar that caused so much pain for Miranda, she insisted, "first I shall clear away the tainted blood, so that if you decide to have another child, you will not have the same ... complications as the first." After an informed nod from Miranda, the ethereal being held her arm more firmly, continuing the slow circles with her fingertip against Miranda's arm, she begins to mutter words under her breath. Miranda and Nicholas share a look, both barely catching words here and there in her long speech of an ancient, long forgotten language. Suddenly, Miranda gasps and grabs Nicholas' arm as he automatically reaches out to her, an indescribable feeling of purity comes over her.

"I have cleansed the impurities from your blood but unfortunately it has already contaminated your child. Now," she says with a strong emphasis on her words, "I will begin the blessing." As she speaks the last words she cups her hands together and raises them above her head, her lips start to move but faster this time, only small ambiguous whispers reach the ears of the couple. A few short minutes pass, a loud bang echoes through the mountain, startling the couple, a bolt of lightning strikes directly into the upheld palms of the Goddess. Seconds go by and the Goddess lowers her hands and turns to face the fire, allowing the couple to catch a glimpse of her hands as electricity sparks from her palms, moving as if it had its own intentions, its own goal. Still whispering the words of the ancient blessing, the Goddess bends to allow the blue fire to edge closer to her and break of as part of it joins the flickering sparks of electricity, caressing her hands as it spreads. Turning towards the tentative and startled Suttons', her eyes closed as she recites the last few sentences of the long-lost dialect. She takes a small step towards the Suttons, as she does they witness the merging of the bright blue fire and the electricity in a matter of seconds. Closing the space between them, she gives the Suttons' a small smile, her eyes asking for permission. Extending and separating her hands she places them either side of Miranda's swollen stomach. Once again that indescribable feeling of purity overwhelms her as her stomach begins to glow a bright blue that dulls as the Goddess removes her hands, into a vibrant violet before gradually disappearing altogether.

"It is done." The Goddess' crystal-like voice for a second time broke the silence, leaving a slight pause before she continues, "She will grow into a strong, young woman. But be warned, she will come into her powers a little earlier than the average age that our powers rise above the surface, allowing us to wield the elements." The Goddess looks deeply into both Miranda and Nicolas' eyes, ensuring that they heed her warning. Gracefully, she begins her retreat around the dying embers of the small flickering flames that are the last remnants of what once was the blazing blue fire.

"Thank you," Miranda gasps out, "you saved our daughter; you saved our Nevaeh." Giving them a final kind smile as an acknowledgement of their gratitude, she walks into the mountain just as the last flicker of the blue flame dies out.
