I smile as Tyler opens the passenger door to my car for me so he could drive, we had just cleaned up after breakfast and were heading home early for my lesson with Charlotte starting at two, though I wanted to go over some of the werewolf history before she arrived. It took about twenty minutes of driving before we were outside the packs' territory before a question popped in my mind, "what happens when a human stumbles onto pack lands? I mean it must've happened before right?" I look over to Tyler, waiting for a response.

After a short pause he answers my question, "it used to happen a lot in the old days, back when normal wolves roamed England, it was easier to pass off at the time. Then came a time in history where humans started to hunt them, they destroyed a lot of nature which aided in decimating the number of wolves to barely any. Eventually they became extinct in England but humans kept accidentally entering our land and a few other packs lands accidentally." I looked at the road as he drove closer to my house.

"Eventually we made a deal with the biggest coven of witches in England, they created a barrier which teleports humans to the other side of our territory without them even knowing, it's complicated magic and took years to perfect." He thought for a moment before adding a final thought, "there is an exception of course, humans who are the mates of werewolves can enter the territory with their mate or another wolf and once they share their mates mark they can come and go whenever they please without the assistance of a wolf accompanying them."

We were about five minutes from my house give or take a few minutes when Tyler finished answering my question. "There's a lot I need to learn about all the supernatural species," I think for a minute before asking my next question, "what's the mate mark?" I ask and I watch as his cheeks go red. He pulls into the driveway and I open the garage door with my fob so he could park the car in my space. We walk in and greet my parents and the twins before going up to my room and laying on my bed.

"The mark, my mark and yours is one of the stages of mating, I bite a spot on your neck and after you'll be able to feel my emotions clearer, I can feel yours sometimes, especially when they are strong but it's not half as much as it will be, we'll also be able to communicate by mind link which is like talking to each other in our heads, no matter our location. When that happens I can teach you how to use it and how to block people from your mind because when we become the Alpha and Luna of the pack in a few years you'll have access to the pack link too." I nod my head thinking about the idea of Tyler biting down on my neck, "I know you don't have sharp teeth instead after I bite you, you bite down hard and a mark will appear, it means that everyone will know we're both taken." A smile lingers on his face after he says that.

"Interesting," I say a I smile and kiss him on the cheek before getting up and getting the old book from my desk which was in surprisingly good condition. 'Rise of the Wolves' was written in bold down the spine of the book and on the first of the many thick pages. I flipped it and started to read whilst leaning my back against Tyler for support, smiling when he kissed my head.

Werewolves were not the first of the supernatural creatures, that honour lies with the witches, nor were they the last species, that title falls upon the Elementals. The werewolves were created by the Moon Goddess, a blessing she placed upon four great tribes of the world, a gift for the exceptional ritual they performed in her name, she made the tribe stronger, faster, able to survive longer in cold weather, the ability to connect with one another in a way they had never dreamed, the ability to transform into a mighty wolf which also gave them a better chance at finding true love.

They gained better sight than they had ever imagined as well as hearing, they were able to hunt better than ever. All senses were heightened even more so in their werewolf form, including sense of smell which coincidentally helped with identify other species no matter which form they were in.
