Part 11 - Home Invasion

Dijun ordered all the CCTVs from the Hotel and Car Garage/ Car Park to be checked and scrutinised over and over again by his security team. He was going to turn the whole Hotel inside out, he wanted all staff to be interviewed and if needed, interrogated. He will get to the bottom of this. 

Dijun was furious, he had evidently underestimated the culprit. This time, he was not going to let them get away.

He checked over his weekly schedule with Chang, the grand re-opening of the Hotel was to take place in a couple of days before they were expected to fly back to Shanghai but Dijun crammed all his meetings into the afternoon. The important business deal were negotiated and completed. Dijun flew in his legal team to sort and finalise all the details within the same day. He was on a mission and worked relentless. Nothing was going to stand in his way.

After debriefing with Ming and the security team, Dijun decided that evening to secretly fly with his team back to Shanghai and not attend the re-opening of the Hotel. He knew they were likely being watched so everything was done covertly. He made sure all his instructions were followed diligently and discreetly by his staff. The Hotel was not to check out their rooms until the day after they leave to avoid suspicion. They wanted to make the culprit think they were still in Macau and that everything was going to plan. 

Boss ordered Ming to stay behind for the next couple of days to assist the Hotel Manager and to ensure everything goes to plan without any hiccups. 

They left via the helipad. Before Fengjiu and Chang knew it, they were ushered from a helicopter onto a Private Jet. The jet was small but luxurious and was filled by Chang and Dijun's closest security team (made up of 3 people; Red (female), Tod and Pal.) Dijun had to call in a favour with his new business partner to get the plane in such short notice. 

Dijun took a seat next to Fengjiu, he knew the last couple of days have been frightening and eventful to say the least for her. He sensed her exhaustion and held her whilst she slept. As he glanced down at her, he was glad to find that her face looked peaceful and dreamy. 

Chang saw the softness in Boss's eyes as he gently stroked Aranya's hair whilst she slept. The picture before her was so touching, she has never seen Boss so sweet or pleasing. She suspected that Aranya still had no idea how much she has affected Boss. To the point where he has changed his business plans for her... this was unheard of...

Chang checked her emails and quietly reminded Boss that tomorrow morning at 11am, the Hotel's PR Department has a Promotional Shoot with Ji Ji Heng but she didn't show up to the Shoot Meeting today and no one has been able to reach her, she wasn't answering her phone and if she doesn't show up tomorrow, there will be a problem. Dijun simply nodded once to acknowledge her. She waited a couple of minutes but he didn't say anything so she asked if he wanted her to call for a back up. Without lifting his gaze away from Aranya, he said:

"No. I'll discuss the details with you tomorrow morning."  

Chang was escorted back to her apartment by Tod and the other two followed Dijun back to his house with Fengjiu. Fengjiu's dad wasn't expecting her back for at least a couple of days, besides, Dijun wasn't planning on Fengjiu to leave again. He lifted a very tired Fengjiu to his bed and they both slept through the night peacefully.

The next morning, they were woken by the smell of fresh coffee. Fengjiu and Dijun were both famished, Su the housekeeper served them breakfast. After they finished eating, Dijun pulled Fengjiu close to him and softly asked if she was okay before kissing her forehead. Fengjiu blushed, she felt shy this morning as Su was still in the kitchen. Dijun didn't seem to mind who was watching. Su smiled at the display of affection and as on cue, left the kitchen to give them some privacy.
