CHAPTER 16
(Wedding day, Nov 15)
The marriage was a discreet one kaya nga't silang dalawa at ang mga kaibigan nila Trenton na sina Bosh at Skylar lang ang dumalo sa okasyon. They were wedded by a judge.
"Hey Sweep." Ngiti ng malaking lalaki sabay yakap sa dalaga. He is tall, about 6'3 in height, sporting muscular and well-toned arms beneath his sleek black tux. His shoulder-length hair is neatly ponytailed from the back ala Steven Segal style partnered with his three-day-old beard and well-sculpted jawline.
"Sandra." She corrected
"Excuse me for a while." Paalam ni Trenton sa kanila at kinausap ang judge sa harap ng altar.
"Yeah I get it, si Trenton lang ang may karapatang tawagin kang Sweep." He remarked. Sandra noticed that his eyes are intense when he stares, giving it his most valuable asset aside from his exceptional built. His overall facial features resembles 'a clever fighter with a hint of playfulness,' Sandra described.
"I hate it." She replied timidly.
Nilipat naman niya ang tingin kay Skylar whose quite distressed upon arriving at the venue. To the looks of it, she seemed to be in a bad mood at ang pagsimangot nito ang mismong nagbibigay ng trademark look sa kanya. Her Filipino ethnicity exudes with her tanned complexion, dark brown eyes that proportionally matches her prominent cheekbones and long, black, raven hair that completes the edgy look she got. She's an epitome of a modern Filipina beauty.
She feigned a smile at them and went to sit in one of the benches in the chapel, getting busy with her phone.
"Hormones." Kindat ni Bosh sa kanya nang lumayo na ito sa kanila.
"Probably." Sandra half-smiled. Sanay na si Sandra sa mga mood swings nito dahil madalas naman itong nangyayari, as a matter of fact it happens almost every time they see each other.
"Shall we start?" Tawag ni Trenton sa kanilang lahat.
"So what happens after the wedding?" She asked while the both of them walked towards the chapel.
"What do you mean?" She asked dubiously.
"Ha-ha. Nothing." Bosh smirked.
"I know that face." Punching his right arm lightly.
"Im just asking though." He playfully replied.
She doesn't want to invite her friends on her fake wedding dahil hindi rin naman ito kasalang pangtotohanan sa kanyang paniniwala. It's sort of an obligation so she wasn't proud of it and she never planned of ever telling them.
Pero sabi nga nila...
Walang usok kung walang apoy.
(Current time...)
"Wait, I can explain..."
"You're already married??!!!" Gulat na tanong ni Hallie.
"And you didn't care to tell us at all??!!" dagdag pa ni Chloe.
"Look, it's not my intention to keep this thing from you, but-"
"Unfortunately, you got caught." Wesley muttered from behind.
Hallie shook her head in dismay. "You wedded just when?"
"The photo's dated..." Tiningnan ni Chloe ang likuran ng picture "November. So that was... Three months ago??!!" Pagkagulat nito.
"You wretch! I thought you weren't dating anyone right now??!!! How could you!" Serenity wailed.
"Sandali lang..." Trying to explain her side.
