CHAPTER 22
"Really?!! That was close, but good thing mister shoulder-boulder was there." Wesley said.
"I guess so." Pagsang-ayon naman ni Sandra sa kaibigan.
"Hoy!" Serenity exclaimed nang dumating siya sa table ng mga kaibigan. The grumpy head librarian immediately rang the bell on her desk pero hindi pinansin ni Serenity ang pagsita nito sa kanya. "Iniwan mo kami ah! Alam mo bang hindi kami mapakali sa kakahanap sayo??!! Gaga ka ba!"
"Hush down will you? Nasa library tayo." Bulong ni Sandra sa dalaga na nako-conscious na rin sa mga titig ng iba pang estudyanteng nag-aaral doon.
"So where were you then?" Leaning on the table beside her.
"Ah... Sinundo kasi ako ni Raphael." Pagpapalusot ni Sandra sa dalaga.
"Ha? Kala ko wala pa asawa mo?" Taas-kilay namang pag-uusisa nito.
Oo nga pala.
"Napaaga yung flight niya pauwi eh." She casually answered.
"Is that so?" Buntong-hininga ng dalaga? "Sana nagpaalam muna noh bago nagmissing-in-action." Rolling her eyes at her.
"Sorry." Smiling at her very best.
"O siya, may klase pa ako. Kita-kits nalang mamaya?" At nagpaalam na nga ito sa kanila.
Sa library sila tumatambay to study for their upcoming midterm exams. Pinili nilang umupo sa dulo ng library dahil walang tao dito and she can find her solace there when she needs a break, study or take a nap while waiting for the next class.
"Fuck, Physics is killing me." Wesley mused upon opening his book.
Sandra chuckled, pointing to her Biology notes. "Hey, you're not alone."
They both began scanning their notes, at dahil kabisado ni Sandra ang Physics ay natuturuan niya si Wesley sa kung saan man ito nahihirapan.
"When force is constant, does that mean the distance is also constant?"
"It depends if there are other factors like temperature or pressure."
"I get it." He said smugly." Pero bakit kapag si Miss Dylan ang nagtuturo para akong nagka-calculus?"
Calculus. The hardest subject I had in college, but the subject that I missed failing in the sense that I had the most vivid memories of the struggles I went through.
With the people that I've been with through thick and thin.
"Alam mo naman yun, gusto magpahirap ng estudyante. Old maid blues." She chuckled and tore the paper from her notebook. "Oh eto, I made some word problems for you. Think you can do this?"
Kinuha ito ni Wesley sa kanya and scanned it briefly. "Absolutely! I'll transfer there." Sabay turo sa table na nasa kabilang dulo ng silid. "I need to concentrate."
"Yeah, whatever." She grinned and began reading her Biology notes, realizing her own burden.
