It was Monday, I dreaded getting out of bed. I started my usual routine and made my way to school. I got there pretty early, now I could make it to my locker in peace....hopefully. When I got there there was a couple of little freshman boys surrounding it. Like I usually do I gave them a gentle push moving them out of my way. They glared at me, but continued talking  and forming their circle again. I grabbed all the things I needed for the first four classes. As I bent down to pick up my science book my head was smashed up against the wall of the locker. Rubbing my head which probably a bump would form, I turned around to see who did it, a bunch of boys and two girls from my grade where laughing and smiling at me. I ignored it and made my way to homeroom, sitting all the way in the back I listened to the morning announcements on the tv. Autumn the most popular girl in school, dating the all star quaterback on the football team was head leader on the announcement team. She I strongly disliked, I never actually hated anyone even if they were assholes to me, I just disliked them. I was taught that the word "hate" was a strong word and it wasn't polite. Today there wasn't much going on, except for the mystery lunch of the day. Probably some couple week old meat that the old ladies in the caf. made so it was able to eat. I gotta find Sage and talk to her, I have to sit in the guidence office from now to eat my lunch. Maybe if it was just the two of us she'll listen to me better. Today seemed to be going really slow, maybe it was because I had so many things on my mind. I put the whole locker thing behind me and moved on with my day, which is surprising usually it's stuck in my mind for days. Well at least I thought it was good until around fourth period. There were mostly seniors in this class and only a handful from my grade. I was first to come in class and wrote in my notebook while the others came in. My teacher picked our seats so I couldn't sit in the back of the room.

"Pssst hey Bandit."

I looked around and saw a guy, not sure of his name sit behind me.

"How's your old man doing?"

"What's it to ya?"

"Hope we didn't startle him too much, the look on his face was so damn funny. Him pointing the fingers at us like a idiot. We better watch out don't wanna give him a heart attack," He laughed," Your grandpa is pretty stupid, but anyway hope you liked our visit. We'll come around again." His friends all came over and started laughing along giving him high fives.

I turned around and faced him," Listen fatty if you and your little monkey friends ever and I mean EVER come near my house again you'll all be arrested."

He wiggled his fingers around,"Ohhh the police I'm so scared. Really, please is that the best you can do?"

"Shut up asshole and leave me alone."

"Dang the freak got some attitude."

I couldn't handle it anymore, he was pushing my buttons to the point where I was about to explode. It took every ounce of courage in me, I got up from my seat.

"Gonna call me a freak? Well I'm pretty sure you are cause you can never keep a girl for more than a week since all you want is to get in their pants!" I yelled punching him in the face.

The teacher caught me and rushed over. She grabbed my hands because I was ready for more. I explained what happened, but yet again that didn't work today because I was sent to the principal's office. I sat in his office for more than an hour. I'm guessing no one understands self defense, but I'm not sure if you could really call it that. It was enough time in the office and ready for lunch, Mr. Lake (principal) let me go with a warning. I grabbed my packed lunch from my locker and headed back to the guidence office, Ms. Taylor wasn't in today so I told the lady filling in for her why I was here. Sage wasn't around, kind of figured she wouldn't show up. I started eating and heard the door open. Too busy to notice who it really was.

"Make room for another?"

It was Sage, she had her tray in her hand in sat next to me. I didn't answer her.

"You okay?"

"Not really, but what difference does it make?"

"I heard about what happened in English class today, how you stood up to Jason."

"And?"

"I'm proud of you, gee I couldn't even do that myself."

"Thanks I guess?"

She started eating her lunch.

"Sage can I ask you a question?"

Taking a bite out of her sandwich,"Yup."

"Do you really like me?" Ugh that wasn't how I wanted to start, but it just came out.

"Of course I do why?"

"Well on facebook I saw conversation with you and someone else talking about me."

"Oh."

"Yeah, if you don't really like me then stop pretending your my friend!"

"I'm not pretending Bandit. You're probably my only true friend."

"If you say so."

"Gosh Bandit I don't know why you're acting like this. I'm telling the truth whether you wanna believe me or not," She told getting up with her tray," Well I'm going to take my tray back, I'll talk to you later I guess."

I didn't answer again and watched her leave. Something deep in my heart told me that she was telling the truth, but I just wasn't so sure yet. I need to take thought on my actions or I might lose her as a friend.

I managed to finish the day, I got bunch of stares throughout the hallway. Probably already know what I did to Jason. I walked home, it was a cool day. But I still wear long sleeve shirts even if its hot to cover my scars. When being bullied first started and to take away my pain, I'd go in my bathroom and cut. I'd sit there on the floor laying upagainst the tub and watch the blood pore out. It continued up til freshman year, but did it less. A boy who I thought cared about me found me in the action and sent me to the hospital. I had passed out from the blood lost, having to stay there for a few days. That boy who I actually loved found someone else and now was along making fun of me. I want to be with him more than anything and that'll probably never happen. I think still have his cell number in my phone, if I could get all that courage to hit Jason, then maybe I should send him a text, hoping he'll change his mind.
