I layed on the floor in my room, banging my head against the bed. My phone bouncing around in my hand, I wanted to texted him, but yet I didn't want to feel like an idiot. I took in more courage and opened my phone to start a new text.
To Alex- hey ummm its Bandit. I know this is probably weird for the both of us but I just really needed to talk to you. With all the things going on with me at school, I really hope you don't hate me and will listen to me. Thanks.
After re-reading the message a couple times, I finally sent it. I threw my phone up on my bed because I was scared of his reply. It took him almost close to an hour to reply, slowly opening my phone.
Bandit- How did you get my number? Okay I don't wanna be bothered by you right now.
This really hurt me, how could he forget the friendship we once had.
Alex- Well I got your number because you used to be my best friend and you gave it to me. I don't know what happened to you in the past year or so, but I miss when you actually cared about me. Now you're against me. What did I ever do to you? Don't you remember all those times we spent together?
I actually felt pretty good about myself right now. I let him have it and well he deserved it. I felt like a pest, but it needed to be done.
Bandit- Okay? well I'm sorry about that.
That's it? That's all he has to say after all I said to him. Well I certainly wasn't getting anywhere with him through texting so maybe I'll meet him in person.
Alex- Meet me at the park?
I didn't bother telling my grandparents where I was going, I started heading down the sidewalk. It was quiet out today in town, not normal usually. I kind of liked it, it was more peaceful. Once I got to the park I sat down on the most opened bench so he could find me easier, if he decided to come. It was getting foggy out and felt like rain was coming, close to forty-five minutes have passed and still haven't showed up.
"Bandit?" I felt a touch on my shoulder from behind.
"Yes?" I said startled turning around meeting up with Alex's face.
"You wanted me to come here so?"
"Sit down please."
Alex walked over from behind the bench and sat towards the end.
"Why are you doing this to me Alex?"
"Its not so much you."
"Huh?"
"I mean I want to talk to you but my girlfriend won't let me, she knows our past and doesn't like how close we were."
"Then why were you so mean while texting me?"
"That was her, she saw your name pop up, so she took my phone," He began looking down at his feet," But I managed to take it away by the time you asked me to come here."
"Oh."
"I'm sorry for what's going on at school with you."
"It doesn't matter."
"Yes it does matter," He said noticing the scars. He took a hold of my arm," Look at this Bandit, look at what your doing to yourself!"
"I just can't handle it anymore."
"I'm willing to help you."
We continued to talk and he ended up coming with me back to my house. It started to rain and by the time we reached my house we were soaked. I took him up to my bedroom and he made himself comfortable on my bed. I picked out a clean set of clothes and got dressed in the bathroom, then joining him on the bed. He took a hold of both my arms and rolled up the sleeves.
"I've gotta put bandages on this or it will get infected. Some of these are fresh."
He guided me into the bathroom and I showed him where I kept the bandages. I sat over on the toilet watching him and holding back my tears. Alex carefully put cream on my arms and wrapped them all up.
"There now with that cream they should be able to heal better and faster."
"Thank you," I said quietly.
"Your welcome, I really did miss you Bandit and sorry for the things I did to you."
I started to cry and he then took me in his arms, rocking me back and forth. Telling me it was going to be okay.

"How about you stay the hell away from my boyfriend!" Clarissa yelled the next day at school.
"I didn't do anything Clarissa and I've known Alex a lot longer than you."
"Oh really? you "didn't" do anything huh? Then why was he at the park with you?"
"How did you know."
"Well I would say I read his texts, but thats a little weak for me. I was there, yeah that's right I was there with you guys!," She hissed," You just couldn't see me from where I was hiding. Word of advice if you don't leave him alone you will be sorry!"
She stormed off, flipping her hair back and forth. I really did not need this, why would she follow me? I saw Alex standing at the end of the hallway and she took his hand dragging him away.
