Hey everyone! Hope you all enjoy Alec’s POV since it’s just a one off thing. Happy New Year and plz comment vote and become a fan! Also, I apologise for any spelling or grammar mistakes and also I sometimes accidently write Jessica’s name down instead of Georgia’s so watch out for that.

 Chapter 11-Alec’s POV

They were gone in a blink of an eye. Georgia took Jessica before she could even get away. How could I have let it happen? I always knew Georgia was a better fighter than I was but not that good.

I instantly got ready to go teleport to Jessica’s house where Georgia had taken her when Georgia was by James’ side again. Her face instantly told me something was wrong.

“Where is she?” I growled yanking her by the shoulder.  Georgia looked up at me with eyes filled with a hidden emotion that I could understand. Fear? Disappointment? Or even anger.

Georgia turned to face our leader James. “I…I lost her. I didn’t mean to! She…I…she managed to somehow teleport herself somewhere else. I don’t think she meant to…I didn’t know what to do!” Georgia looked as scared as I’d ever seen her. Her eyes looked at me but her face was again closed off. She didn’t want to let me know what she was thinking.

I stared hard at her and that’s when I figured it out. She was guilty. Guilty about loosing Jessica. Huh, that was a start.

I snapped back into reality. Jessica was out there, alone, with no one to protect her. Maybe she doesn’t need protecting? She is one of us after al. Oh how I hated that. Why did she have to be one of us and she seemed more powerful than we could have imagined. No one had ever managed to rip themselves out of another teleporter and teleport somewhere else. It wasn’t right.

I faced James again with a new thought in my mind.

“Why hasn’t she come back?  Maybe she’s stuck somewhere, maybe she’s been captured, or maybe she’s-“

James gave me a look that cut me off instantly.

“Or maybe she didn’t want to come back” He said flatly.

What? Why wouldn’t she come back? She wouldn’t leave us.

I pushed Georgia aside and tried to stand up tall so I was almost at James height.

“She would come back” I said through clenched teeth.

James started to say something but I was already gone. I was spinning again and as always it was disorienting. I appeared outside Jessica’s house and froze.

It was the middle of the night. But her house was lit up by red and blue flashing lights. Three police cars and an ambulance were all parked untidily on the curb and the house was swarmed with cops. The windows were smashed, gaping holes in the brick walls and then I saw something that made my heart stop.

The ambulance workers were wheeling two stretchers over too the ambulance. One had a sheet over it and the other, was Jessica’s mother. She was bloody and broken but that’s not what made me stop. Her lips were black. Black as death. The assassin had tainted her. As for Jessica’s father, he had been luckier and had been killed.

Instant sorrow washed over me and I almost wondered why. I’d seen this all before too many times. Even with my own parents. But this was different. I couldn’t even imagine how to tell Jessica. Her eyes, they held so much hope in them, hoping that they’d be alive. I couldn’t take that away.

I walked over casually and tried to act as one of the crowd who had showed up to have a sticky beak. I pushed through people and in the end gave up and teleported until I was almost at the front door.
