A/n: Okay- many of you saw a major plot twist last chapter- Zane, Kai, and Jay all died. :P

I didn't even expect that to happen myself, but it just ended up happening. Our poor cinnamon rolls! :<

Anyways, third-person POV once more- then Morro's POV for the first time!!! Shoutout to @VanessaHorsmann for being so supportive of me- I really appreciate it, dear friend! <3

Imma stop ranting! Happy reading!!! X3

~~~~~~
Sensei couldn't move. The pain he felt was almost unbearable- he had lost all of his students, with the exception of his nephew. He always knew there was a risk, but he never thought it would all end so soon.
You could only imagine the joy he felt when he realized Lloyd and Misako were alive. Lloyd and Misako exchanged confused glances but returned the hug Sensei gave them. "Sensei? Is everything okay?" Lloyd asks moments later. Sensei starts to sob- something Lloyd had never seen before.
Sensei explains the whole thing- and Lloyd started to sob as well. His teammates, his friends, were gone. Forever.
Misako comforts her son, but could not hold back the tears forming in her own eyes.
"We'll get them back, somehow. They can't be gone...," Lloyd says, but he isn't confident.
Morro's POV:
It felt like I was sucked into a vortex of light- but everything went black after.
I heard Cole shouting my name, but I didn't want to open my eyes. I felt something I haven't felt in years- pain.
I slowly open my eyes. Cole looks different. He looks the way he first looked, before becoming a ghost. I yelp in surprise, and Cole chuckles.
"I never expected you to look like that," Cole says with a smirk. I give him a confused look before looking down on my hands. You could only imagine the surprise when I realized I wasn't a ghost anymore- I was mortal once again.
I couldn't stand up. It felt as if there was an anvil on top of me. Cole helps me up, but I just fall down once more. "What's happening," I mumble.
"It's probably a matter of getting used too. You'll be able to find your balance shortly," Cole says.
I use my elemental power to spring myself up, and Cole grabs one of my shoulders. "Don't worry," he says, "I won't let you fall."
I felt so stupid, honestly. I'm Morro, the freaking master of wind! I should be able to find my coordination without Cole's help. I wanted to push Cole away, but I realized that it wouldn't end well for me- my face would meet the ground.
"Maybe if you create your elemental dragon, you'll be able to find your balance easier," Cole suggests. It's worth a try, I guess.
I easily summon my dragon, but mounting it is the hard part. "Are you sure you don't need my help, Morro?"
I roll my eyes. "Of course not, I can handle this." It takes many moments, but my attempts to mount my dragon was successful. "What did Yang mean before, when he said we'd meet the other ninja in the Cursed Realm... Oh wait- he meant that he..." I didn't need to finish the sentence. I finally understood the sickening truth- that monster had somehow killed our teammates.
"What about Sensei?!" Cole says suddenly. My heart freezes- oh no. No, no, no. Not again! This time I don't have wishes to save him!
Cole and I immediately decided to find Sensei- hopefully, alive
I still wasn't used to my mortal body, and I lacked control over my dragon. Luckily, Cole was there to help me. Whether I'll ever admit it or not, I'm glad that I'm apart of the ninja.
3rd-Person POV:
Jay was alone, in this pitch-black abyss.
Well, not alone. Just without his friends. But he felt very alone.
Jay never expected to die so soon- or become a ghost. Why did he end up in the Cursed Realm? His whole life was dedicated to stopping evil- why was he in the realm full of evil souls?
Glares from the souls he defeated kept haunting him. He was trembling in fear. He felt like a complete failure to his Sensei, and his friends. And especially to his parents.
He floated alone, miserably. Was this how it felt to be a ghost? Not able to feel anything, and feeling empty? He regretted all the times he made fun of Cole after he became a ghost. It wasn't nearly as 'awesome' as he anticipated. Actually, it was far from it. He was a living nightmare.
"Jay," a familiar voice whispers behind him, "is that you?"
The voice was robotic- it was Zane's. In both joy and pain, Jay hugged his fallen nindroid friend. "Zane, what happened to you? I thought I was the only one!"
Zane's eyes dimmed. "Cryptor has taken my place among the living- he managed to defeat me. I have failed my duty as a ninja." Jay pats his friend's back. "So have I, buddy."
"Kai's here as well. I believe it's just the three of us," Zane says.
"I hope everyone else is okay... hey, what about Morro and Cole? Where have they been? They've been drifting off lately- so maybe they're here?"
Zane thinks for a moment and shakes his head. "Unlikely. Cole and Morro would still remain in the mortal world, just unseen."
"Jay's here too?" Kai asks suddenly, causing the lightning ninja to yelp. "Kai, don't do that!"
Kai chuckles. "All that matters to me is that Nya's okay. I hope Chen didn't hurt her," Kai says with a worried frown. Zane returns a small smile. "I'm sure she's fine, Kai. She would've been here by now."
"Are those the ninja?" A voice hisses. "What are they doing here?"
"Shit- we've got company," Kai says, attempting to summon his elemental power. The Soul Archer chuckles at his attempt. "You cannot use your powers in the Cursed Realm; you can only use them in the mortal world. Also, we aren't here to fight. We're only wondering why you're here."
Jay sighs. "It's a long story, honestly."
"Well, we might be here forever- so I think we've got time."
~~~~~~

Wrayth chuckles in amusement. "That's easy- as long as your mortal friends defeat the ones that destroyed you, you'll return."

"Is there a faster way? They probably don't even know we're gone!" Jay exclaims. Bansha nods slowly. "Yes, there is another way."

"Please continue, it's not like we've got any better ideas!"

The ghosts exchange glances. "Well, when Morro escaped, he found a breach in the realm. It's a rare circumstance- but, a new breach opens up every hour. It's almost impossible to know where and when a new breach will open up. But maybe the nindroid can help us. But, be warned, the breach can only allow one person to escape- and you'll remain a ghost," Bansha explains.

"Alright, I'll try to find patterns with the breaches. Pixal, please scan."

Jay and Kai exchange hopeful looks. We have a chance.
