"Where could Sensei be?! He has to be around here somewhere!" Cole shouts, panicking. Not that I could blame him- I was panicking myself.
I was starting to regain coordination, but I used Wu's tea table as support. Cole picks up a sky-blue teacup rolling on the ground. The contents were spilled all over- if I had been a ghost, it would've fried my feet off.
"There aren't any traces of a fight, Cole," I observe. "There isn't any blood, and no weapons were used."
Screams of terror filled the city. Cole and I exchange glances, before summoning our dragons. What else could go wrong tonight?
"What do you think it is, Morro? A festival?" I shake my head. "I doubt it- tonight's been pretty weird. Anything could happen."
"Oh no- how's Cryptor back?! I know for sure we destroyed him! And is that Chen and Samukai?!" I give Cole a confused look. He mouthes defeated villains, and I nod. Cole puts his ninja mask over his head.
"Why hello, Cole! Just the ninja I was looking for!" Chen exclaims gleefully, before sinisterly chuckling. "Now, you can join your friends in the Cursed Realm."
Cole growls. "I've been a ghost long enough. I think I'll pass." Cole and I spin into a perfect tornado and charge at the enemies. "Who's that one?" Chen asks, pointing at me. "I don't remember him."
"That's Morro, master of wind. Trust me, you don't wanna mess with him," Cole says with a smirk. On cue, I summon large gusts of wind, knocking Chen back. "Now that," he says, "is an elemental power I wish I've stolen." (A/n: If you're interested in seeing Morro in season four, read my story 'Morro from the past, present, and future!')
I don't stop there. Chen's floating chair makes it so tempting to spin- like a carousel. I use my elemental power to create a whirlwind and then I throw it at Chen. The chair spins faster and faster until Chen finally flies off of it. (A/n: This scene was suggested by @VanessaHorsmann)
Cole laughs his head off while Chen sends me death glares. I chuckle at the scene before me, before attacking the rest of the villains.
~~~~~~
The three villains groan in defeat before running away. Cole puts his hand up, and I stare at him. "What are you doing?" I ask. "What, you've never heard of a high-five?" Cole asks with a smirk. I shake my head.
"Basically, slap my hand with your hand and then-!" I slap Cole's hand as hard as possible, causing him to wither in pain. "I thought you said to slap your hand?" From the force of the high-five, I fell face-first. Curse my loss of coordination. Cole snickers and lends me a hand. I give him a death glare before taking his hand.
"We should continue our search for Sensei. I really hope he's okay," I say, worry filling my voice. Cole puts his hand on my shoulder and nods. We summon our elemental dragons, in search of Sensei. I really hope he's okay- I don't want to lose him twice.
~~~~~~
We've been searching for hours, and still no sign of Sensei. I try not to think of the worst; I've learned that it only makes it worse.
The eclipse had finally ended, and the sun was starting to shine. Cole and I flew next to each other in silence. Earlier, I had suggested that Cole and I should split up. But without Cole's help, I might fall off my dragon in midair, so we dismissed that plan.
My coordination wasn't getting any better. Frankly, each hour that went by made it feel worse. I had a minor headache, but it's not going to stop me from finding Sensei.
Cole gives me a worried look. "You feeling okay, Morro?" he asks, "I can search by myself if you're not up to it."
"I'm okay, Cole. I'm just worried about Sensei," I lie, trying my hardest to ignore the pain spreading throughout my body. Cole raises his eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
I roll my eyes. "I can handle it, I've been through much worse," I say with a hint of annoyance.
Then, we heard a scream. A rather familiar scream in fact. It was Lloyd's scream, I knew it all too well. While I was possessing Lloyd, Lloyd's one attempt to escape was to scream at the top of his lungs. It almost worked.
"Cole, you keep searching for Wu. I'll go help, Lloyd."
"Are you sure? You might need my help if you don't want to face-plant again," Cole says with a chuckle. I roll my eyes. "I'll be fine, just look for Wu." My dragon poofs out of existence in midair, and I use my elemental power to keep me from falling. Cole laughs his head off, causing me to growl. "I think you need my help, Morro. Climb onto my dragon."
I wanted to protest, but I knew deep inside that Cole was right. Not that I'm ever going to admit that.
"Lloyd!" Cole shouts, his elemental dragon disappearing. At the moment, a large snake's tail was strangling the poor ninja. "Pythor? You're back?"
"Indeed. I'm giving this boy a one-way ticket to his dad," Pythor says with a chuckle, wrapping his tail around Lloyd's neck harder.
I shoot a super-strong gust of wind at the snake, knocking him backward. He drops Lloyd and starts to fall off the caverns, with Lloyd falling after him. I quickly summon my dragon and grab Lloyd's hand- but my balance hadn't quite developed yet. My dragon poofs out of existence again, causing both of us to fall. If Cole hadn't come with me, Lloyd and I probably would've died.
"Told ya so," Cole says with a smirk. I huff in annoyance while attempting to balance myself.
Lloyd gasps. "Morro? Is that you?! Cole?! How are you guys mortal again?!"
Cole and I exchange looks. "It's a long story. Have you seen Sensei?" Lloyd nods. "Yeah, he and my mother just left, in search of Kai and Zane. Jay's... gone..."
"They're wasting their time, Lloyd. Kai and Zane are also gone. They were all defeated," Cole says, a stray tear falling from his left eye.
"They aren't gone," I say, earning confused looks from both Lloyd and Cole. "We just have to defeat those who defeated them."
Cole facepalms. "So you're telling me we should've killed Chen, Samukai, and Cryptor?! Ugh, now what are we going to do- we don't know where the hell they are!"
"Let's find Sensei first, then make a plan. At least we have Lloyd with us," I say.
