as maxine walked into the remedial goodness class, she looked and saw all the villain kids all huddled up. she tip toed a little and saw their parents, max breathed out. she definitely did not want to see her parents. she came back when she heard a bunch of arguing from the computer. "oh darling! come!" fairy godmother said, making the four kids turn to max as she walked up to her. "i made an adjustment to talk to the queen of hearts, mother gothel, and the mad hatter." fairy godmother, max shuts her eyes tightly. "mad hatter?" she heard carlos and mal say behind her, "yes. ha. he's not a villain but still in the isle but with privileges." max tried to let go of the conversation. she turned back, "look godmother. i really don't wanna talk to any-" but before she could finish, fairy godmother pressed a button and mother gothel was there. the four stayed behind max, for no reason though. "ah! hello darling! i haven't seen you in so long!" mother gothel's old voice says, making max's face pale. she just nods. "can you sing for me!" mother gothel yells, of course this is probably all she just wants, maxine thought.

"uh. we don't really do magic here." fairy godmother piped in, "it's singing! it's just healing!" mother gothel argues, max just nods at fairy godmother who hesitantly agreed. the four villains watch in shock as max sings, and her eyes and hair glow. "flower, gleam and glow let your power shine. make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine. heal what has been hurt. change the fates' design. save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine. what once was mine." as she finished, mother gothel changed into her young self and her hair glowing stopped. "thank you maxine." mother gothel says, max just nods. "that was beautiful dear." fairy godmother says, maxine just smiled at her. "um. is that all you wanted?" max asked mother gothel, "oh yes. bye now." mother gothel replies, max sighed pressing the keyboard and it was off. until fairy godmother pressed it again and the one person she was afraid of the most was on the screen smirking. "hello maxine." the queen of hearts says, max's face dropped and her face turned pale. "hi. mother." max choked out.

"now max. you didn't listen to me last time we talked and now i'm stuck in this disgusting place. you know what choice you had to make but you disobeyed me." the queen of hearts laughed, max scoffed. "you took my life away once. why would i do that for you?" max didn't know where she was getting confidence from but she was definitely loving it. the queen of hearts looked at her in surprise, hearts knew max never had what it takes to argue back. "madmax. you know i could do that again right." the queen smirked, "oh. lay off hearts, let her live!" she heard the mad hatter behind the screen, but his face not showing. the queen looked up "shut it hatter!" she glared. mal nudged all of them and pointed to max's hand where a flame started. "my life, my choices, my problems, my mistakes. isn't really your business." max smiled, the queen laughed. "well your choices were wrong and ugh, you turned just so good." the queen insults her, gagging a little. "well really. you can't judge my choices without understanding my reasons." max smirked, calming down now because the queen looked defeated. "very well then. bye." the queen says and the call ended. "bye. red queen." max said, gritting her teeth. she knew how much she hated the name. her mother glared at her before she could turn off the call, someone cut in. "hey wait! lemme talk to her!" she heard, max smiled. the mad hatter and her were always close when she was back on the isle. he took care of her and she did too. the queen rolled her eyes and got up, she heard some running and the mad hatter plopped on the chair.
