After you taught them the formations, you let them tried it out and you were impressed. They were able to execute it properly. And so did the other teams.
"Ok so time for the hand signals," you started making the team looked at you and listened
"I know some of you already knew the hand gestures but I'm still gonna teach them." you said
"Ok so first is Two Hands Back, Fist Up, Finger Down" Juvia said "This is the code for a line block. The pointing finger indicates the direction the up player will direct the ball. That means the front player will aggressively challenge the return and try to direct the ball to one side of the court. This also lets the back player know anything hit high is going to be their ball"
"Though this signs are used in beach volleyball doesn't mean that it can't be used for this kind of volleyball" Juvia added
"Two Hands Back, Two Fingers Down. For many teams this is a cross court line block. That means the up player will attempt to intercept the ball right at the net and then drive the ball across the opposing teams court toward the sideline. This lets the back player know the ball, if returned, will most likely be coming to the wide side of the court." You said
"Two Hands Back, Pinky Down,Fist Low. This means the up player will make an aggressive attempt to block the ball. That means the back player will need to be in position to defend around the block. Should the ball kick to the side the back player will most likely need to set the ball for a final spike by the blocker" all of them paid attention to your hands since you were showing it to them so that they will know what's the correct gesture
"Two Hands Back, Fingers Down. This is a message to the server where to serve the ball and how deep to serve it. The up player's top hand determines which side of the court, the bottom hand determines depth of service. If the finger on the top hand wiggles the ball goes to that side. If it is kept still the ball goes to the opposite side. If the finger on the low hand wiggles the serve is to go deep, if it is kept still the ball should be served short. This gives the up player a chance for an aggressive return block at the net"
"If you're serving, always pay attention to the signs your teammates are giving" you exclaimed
"Two Hands Back, Two Fingers Down Center. This is the up players way of letting the server know she will back off the net into the middle of the court after the serve. The position of the up players hand either high or low lets the server know how deep to serve the ball and which side to break to after the service"
"Got that?" You asked
"Hai!" They said in unison
"Good. You may go practice now but setters stay" you said
They bowed their heads and went back to practice leaving Kageyama and Sugawara behind.
"Juvia-senpai, you can help them practice now. Mirajane, Izumi and me can take it from here" you smiled which Juvia nodded
"Setters of the team! Gather up including you Izumi and Mirajane! And the rest of you can go back to practice!" You called
Moments later you heard chattering sounds of footsteps coming in. They all sat on the floor while the three of you were standing infront of them.
"So setters.... Let's SET up the mood" you jokingly said and laughed making Izumi and Mirajane facepalm
"We'll be teaching you guys the hand signals that setters use, I know some of you here are already familiar with some so you can try helping us give more hand signals" Izumi said making them nod
"Ok these are for Outside Hitters..." Mirajane started "4 is a high set to the outside hitter and the signal is Four Fingers"
"Next is 41 is a quick shoot set to outside hitter and the signal to this is hand in the shape of a gun" Izumi explained
"32 is a set in between OH and MB 3-4 ft above net and the signal is three fingers" you explained while showing them the signal with your hand
"Ok so time for middle blockers...." Izumi started "1 is a quick set above setter to the middle and the signal is one finger like just raise your index finger"
"2 is a high set in the middle in front of setter 3-4 ft above net and the signal is two fingers"
The discussion went on and on until you were able to teach them all the hand signal you know. You clapped your hands together and smiled at them.
"Since we only have 1 week left, we will be expecting your improvement in 2 days. And in 2 days, my team will be playing with your team, one by one. Tell your teammates about this. Ok you are dismissed" you said
They bowed and thanked the three of you before leaving but Kageyama just stood there looking at you. You looked at him too and gave him a genuine smile making him blush. You went to his direction which he quickly looked away
"Need something, Kags?" You asked
"N-nothing..." He stuttered
"Ok? Then why are you still standing here? Are you practicing to become a statue?" You chuckled
"N-No....I-I just want to s-say..... S-sorry" he apologized while blushing
"It's fine, no hard feelings" you smiled "go back to practice and I'll be expecting My Kin- I mean my teachings and tips to be in good use" you smiled and was about to walk away until Kageyama grabbed your wrist. He noticed that you were trying say something but instantly changed it
"W-what did you say?" He asked
"W-what do you mean? I'll be expecting my teachings and tips to be in good use?" You stuttered
"N-no... Before that" he said
You knew what he meant and you were such an idiot for letting it slipped. You weren't meeting his eyes instead you were looking the other way while blushing.
"I-it's nothing important.... Go back to practice" you said and quickly took your hand and ran off
Kageyama can't help but smile at your behavior. He made you blush, he made you stutter. Again. Damn he was proud.
Did the King found his Queen?
Or did the Queen found a King that can make her stutter and blush?
Will these two Majesties finally be a good pair?
