"You're okay taking Oli with you?" Jason's voice comes through the speakers.

"Yeah, I'm just doing paperwork and then we'll go home," I answer as I fix my sweater before putting on my coat. "Besides, Charlotte is busy with Cleo and her new son so I can take Oli with me." It was so chaotic over the weekend with Cleo giving birth to her son,

"Okay, I'll let you go but call me if you need anything," he tells me.

"I will, see you," I say to him as he ends the call. I called my bank right when they opened this morning and told them I was coming to deal with what my mom left, better now than later. I grab my bag, double-checking to see if I have the papers Mr. Davis gave me last week before stepping out of my office and locking the door behind me. I walk next door to Oli's class to grab him since I told his teacher I'd be taking him home from now on.

"Hey Grace, I'm here for Oli," I say knocking on the door.

"He's ready to go Victoria," she answers. "I didn't realize you were friends with that young man," she says while Oli puts back on his jacket.

"Well, some things happened," I say with a sheepish smile. She looks at me for a couple of seconds before her face turns to one of understanding.

"Ah, young love," she says with a wistful smile.

"What, no, it's not love," I splutter waving my hands in front of me in disagreement.

"I beg to differ," she chuckles. "But I won't say a word."

"It's not love or anything Grace, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't. Anyways, Oli and I have to get going, we'll see you tomorrow," I tell her as Oli steps beside me.

"Bye Mrs. Valentina," Oli says with a wave of the hand.

"Bye Oli," she says waving back at him. We walk out of the classroom down the hall, Oli grabbing onto my hand, swinging it between us.

"Hey Oli, we're not going home right now, I need to do something before we go home," I tell him as we exit the school.

"What are we going to do?" he questions as we make our way to my car.

"I have a meeting I need to go to but when we're home and you're done with the homework you were given today we can watch a movie together," I suggest.

"I want to watch Finding Nemo!" he shouts.

"Alright, we'll watch that later," I chuckle as I unlock the car. He hands me his bag as he gets inside with me making sure he has his belt on before closing the door. I place his bag in the trunk before making my way to the front. I get inside, starting up the car and drive out of the school complex.

I spend the next thirty minutes driving to the bank, the only noise in the car coming from the radio and a cartoon Oli is watching on my phone. I look at the mirror chuckling at the expressions he's making, the complete joy on his face. We reach the bank, my appointment at four with ten minutes to spare. I turn off the engine, getting out to open the door for Oli as he hops out, pausing the show.

"Oli, can you hold onto my phone for me? I'll let you use it while I finish my things," I tell him as we walk to the front door.

"Okay," he answers as I open the door for us. I bypass the front counter going to the customer service desk instead.

"Hi, I have an appointment with Mr. Agresta," I tell the woman behind the customer service counter.

"What's your name?" she questions as she types on her computer.

"Victoria Marshall," I answer as I glance at Oli who's still preoccupied with the game on my phone.

"Victoria Marshall, let me see. A Victoria Marshall just came in and is already speaking with Mr. Agresta," she says looking back at me.
