Apartment complex

Isbel's pov

Saguru and I headed back to the apartment complex, When the elevator opened a boy about twelve was there he looked panicked.

"Can you help me I think something's wrong my sister's locked herself in the bedroom and wont respond when I call her," he said in a worried tone

Saguru and I looked at eachother and followed the boy quickly to his apartment.

"This is the room," The boy said pointing to a standard door with a key lock.

Saguru tried the knob, and kicked the door down realizing it was really locked. He walked in.

"Young man can you tell me your name, and how many keys lock this door?" I asked.

""My name is Ayoma Ragan, and that room only has one key. But my sister never locks it," Ragan said.

"Izz, there's no one in here," Saguru said.

I walked in, toward the night stand. I opened the top drawer in it was various medications, *gasp* I took out my handkerchief and examined the labels. There was an asthma inhaler and other allergy medications for someone with severe allergies. I took out my pocket notebook and wrote it down.

I walked over to the bathroom door and turned the knob, locked. With a kick to the locking mechanism, the door came open a little bit. The first thing I noticed was that the room smelled like chemical based air freshener, second thing I noticed was a strip of rubber under the door.

*cough* *cough* 

"Are you alright?" Saguru asked looking over.

*cough*"Yeah, I'm fine," I said opening the door further.

On the floor was a girl about my age, I fell to my knees and checked for a pulse.

*cough*"Saguru call the police,"I shouted. I looked around the room and found two febreze bottles with rubber bands keeping the sprayer down. they were empty.

"Isbel what's wrong," Saguru said rushing to the door.

I stepped out of the room,"My throat's on fire, I can feel it closing in"I mumbled to myself pulling out my emergency inhaler.

After Saguru called the police, he walked over to me and gave me a pair of gloves.

"I'll let you solve this one,"He said,"One more thing I found the key to the bedroom in a glass of water on the shelf by the door."

"Did you find my sister?"The boy asked tugging on Saguru's shirt sleeve.

"She's resting,"Saguru said.

"No, no this must be a mistake," The boy said beginning to cry.

"Now go call your parents, tell them to come," Saguru said placing his hands on the boy's shoulders.

I walked back into the washroom, the girls body was starting to get stiff meaning she had died in the past 40-30 minuts. Her lips were blue and eyes were bloodshot, "Cause of death looks like suffocation,"I said jotting it down.

looking around the room I saw that the vent and fan were covered in duct tape. I opened the medicine cabinet, each shelf was labeled. One of which read allergy medications but there was nothing on it. 

"Whait what if..." I said walking over to the shower. I picked up the bottles of shampoo and conditioner, I examined the labels,"No fragrance in these at all, and none in the soap or deodorant." I ran back into the bedroom and found a box of fragrance free laundry detergent,"So that's how it is."

Thats when the police came into the room.
