Hi! I'm trying to update this at least twice a week, at the very least!! I'm working at the moment so it may vary each week but updates will be regular x enjoy!!

ABEL:

“Why is England so cold?” Abel sighed, wrapping a blanket around himself and snuggling closer to his sister. Amber prodded the campfire they had managed to start, mostly with a few useful incantations from Wyatt himself. They had opted to stay low and avoid using hotels, should word get out that two dragons and a witch were in England and away from the sanctuary of their protected island, he had no doubt they’d be hunted down and beheaded within the day.

“Fuck knows, no wonder vampires live here, does the sun ever show?” Amber frowned up at the darkening sky. They had been lucky to make it so close to London, especially within a day. But now they were stuck miles away from their destination, in the English countryside, far from where Amber had decided they were going next. Abel hated being kept in the dark about where they were going, but he trusted his sister with his life.

“That’s a myth,” Wyatt smiled, throwing the water bottles he had filled at his lover and her brother.  “Vampires are weaker in the sun, but they don’t die. That’d be too easy.”

Amber smirked, “I wish. They keep their weaknesses well hidden.”

Abel leaned back, resting his head against the side of his tent as he tore at the grass at his feet. “Where are we going, Amb?” He had asked a thousand times, and she had yet to reveal their goal destination. It would be too hard to just walk right into the vampires house, especially when they didn’t know whether the boy was a Heridicles or an Aetos.

“That depends on which he family he belongs to,” she replied, almost as though she read his mind. “We can scry again tomorrow, the closer we get to the boy the stronger the connection will become…have you dreamt about him yet?”

Abel shook his head, his brow crumpling into a frown. He wished. The boy hadn’t penetrated his dreams in almost four days. He wanted to know why.

As if needing a distraction, the hairs on the back of his head stood up. Someone was watching.

“Amber,” he breathed, his voice low. His eyes met his sisters, who arched an eyebrow knowingly.

“Wyatt, come closer to me.” She muttered to an oblivious Wyatt, who had distracted himself by playing with fire on a stick.

“As you wish,” the older man smirked and wiggled his eyebrows.

“Not for that, idiot,” Amber hissed as he joined her side, “Someone’s watching us.”

As if on cue Abel heard a whoosh, and a thunk as something hard embedded itself inches away from an area between his legs Abel would rather not mention.

“HEY!” Amber shouted, standing and nostrils flaring.

“Take another step Dragon, and I’ll put one between his eyes.”

Abel dared not to move, watching as a tall and well-built man with whiskers of silver across his jaw stepped slowly from the trees, a crossbow poised in his arms, loaded and ready to strike. More followed him, mostly men, but Abel spied a slim figure smirking next to the silver haired man. She wasn’t tall but she carried herself as though she were over six-foot, her hair was blonde and braided, her eyes blue and alight with enthusiasm. An iron shamshir sword in her hand.

Pretty, Abel mused, and dangerous.

“How do you know what we are?” Amber hissed, the blue of her eyes encircled with orange as smoke began to stream from her nostrils. Abel hadn’t seen her inner dragoness in over three months, but it appeared to be coming out right now.
