"I'll gut you!"
Reed Venarton sliced the curved blade in the air, narrowly avoiding Jamie's face as he ducked behind Reagan.
"Dad!" Reagan shrieked, nostrils flaring as she tried to shield her lover from her father's attack. She was half dressed, in nothing but a tank top and small shorts. Jamie was topless behind her. It had been a simple accident, they had been enjoying one of their trysts in Jamie's tent when her father had walked in for God only knows what reason. What he'd seen had been enough to turn his face purple.
"Wolf scum!" Reed snarled, trying to pivot around Reagan who was having none of it, instead she grabbed her father's arm, twisting it, forcing him to yelp and drop the blade. She kicked the metal away and shoved her father as far away from Jamie as she could.
"Get away from him!" She snarled, taking a defensive stance between her father and Jamie.
"That was so hot," Jamie mumbled from his place behind her, rubbing his hands down her arms and ignoring her pointed glare. They looked up at the sound of flapping wings, Colette and Amber joined them from the sky alongside a party of supernaturals, Jamie's parents included. A smaller dot grew in size from the sky, the shapes revealing themselves to be Abel and Evander.
"What is going on?" Colette boomed, beating her black wings and landing just two metres short of Reed, her eyes glued to the iron hunting blade Reagan had kicked away. "You dare to attack a supernatural under my protection on this island?" Smoke began to curl from her nostrils, her dark blue eyes morphing into orbs of orange.
"He was fucking my daughter," Reed spat, his glare fixated on Jamie.
Reagan scoffed, "Actually, I was fucking him, dad. Hence why you saw me on top."
Reed snarled, only being held back by Castel and another hunter.
"Jamie?"
Jamie's eyes snapped to his father's wide green eyes. The Alpha looked between the huntress and his son, trying hard to ignore the murmurs of disapproval from his pack behind. Even his wife had frozen on the spot, her brown eyes as hard as steel and trained on the blonde huntress who his son stood beside.
"You...and her?" Brendan spoke with conviction, watching his son's hand find Reagan's. Their fingers entwining around each other.
"Yes." Jamie tried to meet his parents' penetrating gaze. The faces around him were a wave of shock, intrigue or repugnance. He felt his stomach turn to fire as he glared straight back, his fingers tightening around Reagans as he tugged her close. "Yes, me and Reagan. I won't deny it any longer, I...I like her, a lot."
"We won't deny it any longer," Reagan looked to him, her lips curling into a thin smile. "I like him, father. I want to be with him, supernatural or not he's...amazing."
Evander watched from the side lines, hand in hand with Abel who watched with raised eyebrows and a small smile playing mischievously at his lips. Evander never thought he'd hear such a word escape Reagan's mouth, he marvelled at the fact she even knew adjectives to describe a person kindly.
Jamie beamed from ear to ear, which only made Reagan's face break into a smile. She tried to fight it off, willing her immune system to fight off the feelings of happy, but she gave in grinned.
"I'm happy for you," Evander blurted out, ignoring the sea of eyes turning to him.
"You're what?" Reed snarled, "I should have known. You've wormed your way into the heart of dragon, now you want to spread your corruption elsewhere, rotting every sacred vow, perverting the natural order-" Reed didn't get to finish, Abel was on him in a moment, his hands around his throat as he lifted the hunter from the ground until his feet flailed out, spluttering gurgles choking from Reed's throat.
