Hi, so I'm working quite a lot this week until Monday so there may only be one or two updates between now and Sunday! After that I have five days off so updates will be more frequent! This chapter is my longest yet (I think) ;)

Thank you, and enjoy! x

Evander sprinted from the hall, whipping his head around, his eyes scanning the crowds for Abel. He ignored the brief 'hellos' from the supernaturals crossing his path as he closed his eyes and breathed in, trying to discern Abel's scent from the myriad of other smells around him. He concentrated, his nose tickling from the mixture of foreign scents: sea water, earthy mud, grass, then finally, smoke. Evander had been blanketed in Abel's smell on more than enough occasions to be able to track him from a mile away, the dragon's smell was smoky and spicy, but fresh and addictive. He caught it straight away, jogging through the crowd and following the trail Abel left behind.

"Abel?" He called lowly, knowing the dragon could hear him. He turned left, slipping down an alley as he followed Abel's scent to the fields behind. Gotcha. He caught sight of the dragon's black wings first, the silver flecking of his scales glimmering in the high sun.

"Abel!" he shouted, running after him and watching the older boy tense. Evander reached him in seconds, his advanced speed not betraying him.

"Hey!" He snapped, grabbing Abel's muscled arm.

"What?" Abel turned, his eyes looking anywhere but into Evander's.

"Why'd you leave like that?"

Abel finally looked down, a frown soiling his face. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Tell you what?"

"About your suspicions about my grandfather and Hecate. Do you know huge that is?"

Evander huffed out a frustrated sigh, running a hand through his hair as he stared at the pouting dragon before him. If Abel weren't so intimidating, he'd have thought him cute.

"I...I'm sorry, it was just a hunch. I didn't know if it was even true, I didn't want to tell you something about your grandfather that wasn't true, he was your grandpa. Hecate is a deceiver, if I was wrong..."

Evander was cut off as Abel bent down, pecking him quickly on the lips. "I know. But I want you tell me everything, and something that big, Evander. I don't want you to ever carry a burden like that by yourself again."

Evander grinned at the sincerity in Abel's blue eyes. There it was again, the look of care and security, he'd spent his whole life keeping his feelings hidden, it was almost too good to be true that someone would want him to show them nothing but the raw truth.

"I-" Evander was silenced again by a kiss on the lips, and again when he tried to protest. Finally he gave in and giggled, giggled like a school kid. "Fine!" He laughed, pressing two fingers to Abel's lips as the dragon bent down to kiss him again. "I promise, from now on, I'll tell you anything. Even if it traumatises you, okay?"

"You better," Abel bent down, wrapping his arms around Evander and resting his chin on the boy's head. He felt at peace as Evander snuggled into him, his cheek pressed into his chest. Sighing, he drew his wings around them, shielding them from the breeze and prying eyes.

"I was going to suggest," Evander looked up, a puckish glint in his eyes, "the house is empty...maybe we could...celebrate the meeting? Just the two of us...minus clothes?"
