Shoto followed his father silently on a patrol. He still had no idea why the asshole had decided to take a detour from his area to come all the way to Hosu city. But then he remembered Ingenium and it clicked. His old-man had come for the Hero Killer.
Of course, the bastard couldn't resist, Shoto mentally face-palmed as he started to formulate a plan to ditch him.
His phone pinged for the millionth time and he pulled it out, skimming his eyes over the notifications when he froze.
Midoriya had sent his location. Just his location and nothing more. A dark back alley...........in Hosu ?! But why ? The idiot wasn't even supposed to BE here.
Shoto could sense something was wrong. He turned and ran, tossing a curt reply to Endeavour as he left. He didn't remember how he got there, he just knew he had to. He arrived just as the Hero Killer was about to attack Midoriya.
Shoto saw red. He threw a fierce blast of flame at Stain, sending the villain stumbling back.
"Next time, you should send more than just your exact location, Midoriya. I almost didn't make it on time." He snapped, seething at Stain.
He'd made a big mistake when he'd laid a finger on Midoriya. The battle didn't last much longer after that.

Shoto checked Stain's bonds before helping Iida up. He turned to where Midoriya was, watching Native lift him onto his back. He'd be lying if he said he didn't feel a bit jealous, for whatever reason.
"I'll take him." He insisted, pulling the green-haired boy off the pro's back, putting Midoriya's arm around his neck. He walked off resolutely with the boy, leaving a very confused Pro in his wake.
"Todorokiiii, I'll be fine! You can let go of me." Izuku pouted, trying to detach himself from the dual-haired boy. Shoto found that insanely cute and started to question his sanity.
"No shit, Sherlock." He rolled his eyes, holding on tighter.
Izuku froze, a look of shock plastered on his face, "Oh my Gods!"
"What ?" Shoto spun around, ready for another attack.
"Was.....Was that SARCASM, Todoroki ? Did you just make a Sarcastic™ comment ?!" Izuku looked shook and amused at the same time.
Shoto gave him an annoyed look as Izuku burst into peals of laughter. After a minute or two of trying to stay mad at him, Shoto couldn't quite stop himself from laughing either.
The two were a tad too engrossed in laughing, and Izuku tripped, dragging both of them down.
They landed in an awkward position, Their faces only centimetres apart, Shoto straddling Izuku. It would be the biggest understatement of the century to say he forced himself to not kiss the broccoli boi.
"Uhm..........I.....S-sorry." Shoto mumbled, pushing himself off and scrambling away from Izuku, who was turning redder by the second, hands wrapped around his head as he laughed nervously.
Luckily for them, Iida and Native were busy discussing about what to do with Stain, to notice the little scene.
Shoto was starting to piece something together, but he was scared to admit it.
The silence as they waited for the Pros to arrive was thick with tension.
A little too much tension.
