Chapter 3

This place is beautiful! Rivers, waterfalls, wild flowers, and mountains as far as the eye could see. We all take a few steps forward, trying to look around a bit more. Then I felt something heavy pound against my back, pushing me onto the ground.
"Ow . . ." I felt whatever or. . . whoever was on top of me, get off. I get back up onto my two feet and I hear a voice.
"Haha! Who let a dream team of amateurs like you guys in?" We turn around, and see these three guys giving us a cocky glare, Maybe just slightly taller than us. The one on the left looked like he didn't care, like he was the king. He was the best. . .
Though the one in the middle must be the leader. I couldn't sense much of a presence of magic from the guy on the left, but you can't judge a book by it's cover.
"Says the one who can't land on two feet!" I angrily said. They ignored me. Lunar glared at them, she took a deep breath.
"Okay . . . Good luck. You may need it with that attitude." Lunar struggled to say it that neutrally. I could tell by that face that she wanted to just punch them in the gut, or even kill them. Lunar starts to walk away, looking for a place to sign us up. soren and I quickly follow Lunar. I watch them as I leave, only turning my head forward a couple seconds after I turn around. The 'leader' said, "Keep dreaming, you'll wake up once you see our true power. Am I right guys?" He laughs and waits for them to laugh with him, though they stay silent. They probably said something else, but we were too far away to hear it.
"Guys where are we headed?" Soren frantically looked around.
"We need to sign up for the tryouts. How could you not know that?" I asked.
"All right, let's go! If we waste another minute with them, we could be late!" Soren packicked.
"Gahh, sorry. I got distracted by those idiots. . ." Lunar apologised.
"Don't worry about it. Just pick yourself up and let's find it." I said.
"Okay." She half smiled. We started following Soren when I just realized that we didn't even know where he was going. He didn't even know where we were headed in the first place.
"Do you even know where you're going?" I asked.
"Oh, now I feel kinda dumb. I'm pretty sure I was just walking in a circle looking at the ground." soren said. We all laugh at him, and he laughs too. This time, he's going to follow us.
We look around trying to find the building where we'd sign up. The path is shaped in a big circle. In the middle of it there's a tree with maps inside it. Though it's not even big enough to need a map. At least, it doesn't look big enough. I keep looking around, quickly, but thoroughly, scanning every building. There was a green building that I believe was one of those fancy restaurants. Besides the restaurant there was a yellow building, which had a sign saying it was a hotel. I see a wooden building next. It was made out of full logs and had lots of plants overgrowing their pots in front of the building. I look up at the green roof of the building. There's a sign hanging from the cover of the deck saying "The Tryouts".
"Hey, there it is!" I point at the building. Lunar and Soren quickly turned their heads toward it. "We must be blind. How could we miss it? It's the biggest building here!" Lunar said.
"You must be blind." I smile. She just ignored me and we followed her over to the building and opened the door. We went in there and saw long wooden blocks that acted as columns holding up the ceiling to prevent it from falling. There was a seating area on both sides, both surrounded with plants and bookshelves. I saw a log table in the center of the room with a stack of papers on it. I picked up the papers and a few pens for us that were placed next to the stack. I walked over to the place where Lunar and Soren were waiting. I sat down and stabbed Soren with the pen on his shoulder before handing it to him.
"Ow!" He yelps.
"Here you go." I handed him the pen. After a couple minutes, we finish filling out the forms. We walked up to the guy that was behind the log service desk. We give the forms to him. He looks down at it and studies them for a minute. Then he looked back up.
"Okay. Thank you." He said, setting it down.
"Where are we supposed to go now?" sorenasked. The guy looked, then turned to his left.
"Wait here, I'll go get someone to show you the way." He said in an 'I hate my job tone.' After we waited for another minute, another man came and gave us directions to the waiting area for the competitions. We went through multiple hallways, turning left and right. Once we finally got to the end, there was a big fancy looking door. He pushed the door open easily.
"Here, go down this bridge. You'll reach the end in a little bit." He motions his hands. I glance across the corner at the wooden bridge. "Okay, thank you." I waved goodbye to him, as he disappeared behind a corner.
We walked over the long beautiful bridge, coated with gold and gems. The water underneath it was so clear you can see the beautiful glow of diamonds reflecting off of it. I could see fish swimming around happily. The bridge seemed endless. I could see a light at the end of the tunnel but it was still far away.
"Race you to the end!" Lunar shouts and starts running. "Hey! That's not fair. Wait for us!" sorencomplains. I run after both of them. I finally see the end of the bridge. Soren and I are almost tied on the race to the end. Though at the end I beat him by a foot or two. We slowed down and walked into the waiting room, Lunar coming behind us. It was just as nice as the bridge, it almost seemed as if mother nature herself created it. There was a giant tree in the middle and vines hanging down on the sides.
"Oh my god, look at this place! They even have a fountain filled with non-toxic chocolate for werewolves over there!" Lunar exclaims. She ran to the chocolate fountain to drink as much of the chocolate before the tryouts started. She's probably gonna end up drinking all the chocolate they have there if no one stops her. No one will either because they won't be able to get her to stop. I sighed.

"Calling all contestants to Port A!"

"I didn't expect them to have it there, but it is the most amazing place I've ever seen in my whole life! I can't believe we get to do the trials here!" said Soren sounding the most excited I've ever heard him.
"I know right? Everything is so beautiful here!" I said, Lunar comes back with chocolate dripping out of her mouth and down her face. She quickly swallows it, then tries to lick the chocolate around her mouth."I know this place is amazing. But we need to get serious now and focus on the challenges. We can admire it later." Lunar said, with smudged chocolate on her chin still. She quickly wiped it off with her sleeve.
We walked a couple rooms over to Port A with another sign leading outside that said, 'Rome Battlefield.' We all walked up to the desk.
"What's your team name going to be? You may change it later if you pass the challenges." We all pause for a moment to think.
"What should it be?" I turned around to face Lunar and Soren. The moment after I say that Lunar instantly perks up and says, "Team Kemuri!" I turn to Soren. "Sounds good to you, Soren?" I asked. Soren nods and says, "Yeah, I 'm good with that. Sounds interesting enough." I turn back around. "Our team name . . . is Team Kemuri!"
