shuichi and maki walked to the ultimate anthropologist's lab. they had found a katana which belonged to korekiyo.

"ah..!" shuichi bumped into someone. "ah, kokichi?" kokichi smiled. "oh heya shuichi!"

"what are you still doing here? i thought you were participating in the seance?" shuichi asked. "well, yep. but it hasn't started yet and korekiyo asked me to bring the stuff we needed for the seance," he explained.

"ah, the caged child seance, was it?" kokichi nodded. "he even said he memorised everything."

"right, he's been wanting to do this seance for a while." shuichi looked around. "why would you even need a dog statue, a cage and a while blanket for the seance?" maki asked.

"well, i was a bit curious myself so i decided to research it a bit, too!"

kokichi explained the seance instructions to maki and shuichi.

"but is it even possible? contacting angie's ghost?" shuichi asked. "nee- heehee, if you're so curious, why don't you join us, shuichi?"

"you should see how it plays out with your own eyes." kokichi stated.

"there's still time, y'know. the seance hasn't even started yet." shuichi thought about it for a few seconds. "maybe it'd be better if you join them," maki agreed. "ah, you think so?" maki looked away. "well, i'm not going. i don't believe in seances." she stated bluntly.

"but whether you believe it or not, as a detective you should be there to observe what happens." as a detective, huh? shuichi thought. "yeah, i think you're right." shuichi gave in.

"nee-heehee, now you're talking!" kokichi giggled. "well, i'll be waiting for you. of the three empty rooms, we're in the middle one." kokichi waved.

"t-tenko!" himiko screamed as she ran towards the cage.

the body discovery announcent played for the secomd time that day.

everyone who were not in the seance came rushing into the room. "tenko? seriously?" kaito stood there, dumbfounded. "i thought you were conducting the seance, what happened?" maki walked up to me.

"i-i don't know..what's happening..?" shuichi shook his head.

the monokubs and monokuma explained what would happen if tenko and angie's murderer was different.

"shuichi..this is bad." kaito suddenly said. "this is where you need to step up shuichi!"

"we should investigate tenko's murder too!" shuichi heard shouting. "this isn't a coincidence, maybe it's angie's curse!" kokichi joked.

"c-curse?!" kaito suddenly jumped and embraced maki as she was standing right by him. "n-no way there's a curse! don't screw around!" kaito yelled. "you're the one who's screwing around!" maki yelped as she tried to push kaito away. "do you want to die?!"

"kaito, are you okay?" shuichi asked. "my bad, shuichi. i'm starting to feel bad..but for a different reason." kaito said. "i'm gonna get some fresh air, so i'll leave this to you and maki roll.." kaito said as he walked out.

"it's all gonta's fault! gonta fail to protect friends again!" gonta cried.

"..." himiko remained silent.
