"so, what's up?" maki asked as she sipped some of her coffee. "ah, nothing much really. i've been working in a detective agency, even though our ultimates were just fake."
"nyeh.. i've started a small magic business," himiko yawned.
it's been 3 years since the trio escaped. they all decided to stick to their fake talents.
"well, turns out, children are attracted and somewhat interested in me." maki sighed.
"we should have these catch-ups more often," shuichi suggested. "yeah, i agree." maki smiled. "hey, after tea, do you guys wanna go train? like how we did back then?"
himiko nodded excitedly. "yeah! we should!" shuichi smiled. "alright, let's just finish our tea and meet at shuichi's." maki said.
"wait, why mine?" shuichi asked. "cause! your house is the nicest and you have a car!" himiko said. "but maki has a ca-" maki cut him off.
"let's just meet at yours, shuichi." maki took a final sip of her coffee. "let's go."

the three panted as they took a break from the sit-ups. well, except maki. "it's just 50 sit-ups," maki sighed. "nyeh! i'm gonna go get water.." himiko stood up and left.
"so, how have you-" shuichi started but maki cut him off. "kaito? i'm still grieving but i'm fine," maki smiled. "how about kokichi?"
"ah, i still miss him but i know he would have wanted me to live my best life." shuichi sighed.
"i guess not everybody gets happy endings, huh?" maki yawned. "hey, could i sleep over? it's pretty late."
"ah, of course. i'll ask himiko if she wants to stay too. we should ask her about tenko too later." shuichi said.
"alright, i'll go get her." maki waved
shuichi smiled back as he took out the checkered scarf he always carries around.
until we meet again, kokichi.
