Alia, Ryder, Alison, Jake and Jason have been best friends since they began college two years ago. Instead of spending their holiday cooped up in their college, they decided to take a spontaneous road trip.
"I can't believe that this is the end of our trip." Ryder sighs as he pulls into the parking lot for our dorm. I nod along before quickly looking away from him. I tried to hide it, but I couldn't act normal around him after the kiss that we had yesterday. I honestly thought that it was the best kiss that I have ever had, but it didn't mean anything to him, so all I can do is try and make sure we don't lose our friendship.
As he parks, all of us slowly get out of the car grudgingly and take our bags out. As I took out my last bag, I turned around as I heard my name being called out. As I look around the busy campus, I see two guys jumping up and down as they call out my name.
"Do you know—" before Jake could finish what he was saying I sprinted away from the car, and jumping into the arms of the two public nuisances that I sadly call my best friends. After a whole lot of 'oh my gods', "I am going to kill you', 'I hate surprises', 'I love yous', and 'I hate yous', I dragged the two of them to my awaiting friends.
"Hey guys, this is Aryan and Rahul, they are my best friends from Singapore." I jump up and down, as I introduce them to my friends. After they introduced themselves, when I couldn't help but notice that Ryder ignored their outstretched hands, Ryder rudely asked, "So where are you guys studying?"
"Oh, we aren't studying right now. Both of us are in our final years for compulsory military training." Rahul explained, as Ryder got visibly angrier.
"Which reminds me, why are you here? I was planning on coming for your graduation in a few months, and I swear to god if you failed—" I started but was cut off by Aryan, "Calm down. We were on leave when our parents decided to take us on a few college visits. We are here for the next week." I couldn't help but jump into their arms when they announced their plans.
"What is his problem?" Aryan asks as Ryder storms off; I just shrug as my friends give each other looks.
