She was a rose who faded young,
Something must've happened over time,
But no one saw her shattered beauty,
Hung upon a broken smile.
Days spent faking,
She pretented she wasn't hurting,
Always good at hiding feelings,
By putting a smile with her sad eyes.
She's confused and afraid,
Maybe she wants her old self back,
But she doesn't want to disappoint you
She's guilty and she's sorry.
Look at her still laughing,
And smiling sweetly,
As he broke her heart,
With his loving hands.
