Deep down I still want you,
But my demons won't allow me,
They keep on reminding me,
How much pain you've caused me.
I tried and tried and tried,
But I gave up not because I'm tired,
You just made me realize,
That we can't always have what we wanted.
Here we go again in dark phases,
Again we're breaking into pieces,
Begging for genuine love,
A type of love we can't have.
Right now we're both soaked in tears,
Hugging our favorite pillow,
Listening to sad songs,
As we drown ourselves in painful melodies.
