sixteen - two months

TWO MONTHS AFTER JAPAN TRIP ::
i sat in the company's canteen, having a coffee as i scrolled through my twitter explore page.

the members didn't have much schedules anymore, since they're pretty much finished promoting their comeback so i figured i'd rest a while here.

it was quiet, calm and the weather was just perfect. not too sunny, not too gloomy, just right.

as i was scrolling through twitter, a tweet in particular interested me.

do you guys remember that mysterious girl that was beside jinyoung in the live and photo? where has she gone? 😂

i was reminded of jinyoung, yet again. for the past two weeks, i was doing better at getting my mind off of him. i shook my head and refreshed the page, thinking nothing of it.

i then got a notification from jia, saying that there wouldn't be any more work for the staff to do this week.

upon reading this, my eyes lit up.

i finished my coffee and headed to the office to get my bag and get away from the company.

i was thinking of going back to the countryside to give my relatives there a little visit, so that's what i decided on.

TEXT MESSAGE FROM JACKSON ;
jackson : hi! i saw jia's message. you wanna eat with yugyeom, mark and i? we're free today :)

sure :) where are you guys at?

jackson : outside the building. hurry though, we cant keep standing here~~~!

ah okok! i'm coming!!

"(y/n)!" mark smiled as i came out of the building. i waved to the both of them.

"where are we eating at? i'm starving," i cried as i held my grumbling stomach.

"i'm in the mood for meat..." jackson whined.

"then let's go to a barbecue place?" mark suggested.

jackson and i nodded in excitement, as my mouth already started to drip just by thinking of the meat.

"sometimes i find it fascinating that you guys barely get recognised in the streets here.." i blurted out.

they looked at me in confusion.

"why?" they asked in unison.

"because!! you guys are so famous all over the world and it's just so surpri-" i got cut off.

"yah, stop flattering us already. i get it, i get it! we'll pay for you." mark laughed.

"y-yah! i wasn't- if you insist." i chuckled.

the boys still talked to me even after what happened with jinyoung.

i barely talked to jinyoung.

MARK's POV ;

(y/n) didn't seem to be bothered about what happened with her and jinyoung.

but then again, that incident happened nearly two months ago.. or she could just be hiding her emotions from us again.

jinyoung-ssi? i guess he was coping.

every now and then, he'd bring her up but it wasn't anything for too long, it was just a "oh ask (y/n), she might know a place to eat here" or "call (y/n) to get us some snacks or something."
