Tsukishima Kei's POV
"Is it really okay? I feel bad that I'm not helping a lot," Yamaguchi said.
"D-Don't worry! It's alright. English is my highest since middle school," [Surname] said, waving her hands in front of her as she tried to assure him.
I clicked my tongue as I watched her. If being subtle about her feelings was a subject, she'd undoubtedly fail. The only reason Yamaguchi hasn't realized yet is because he still doesn't think someone can like him.
"W-Well," Yamaguchi said. "I need to go now. Good luck with writing the poem [Surname] and Tsukki!"
He waved goodbye and started walking away. [Surname] had a smile on her face as she watched him disappear into the alleys.
"You suck," I said.
"W-What are you saying?!"
"You suck at hiding your emotions. You probably suck at writing poems too."
"Hey!" she said with her hands on her hips. "For your information, I won first place two times in a contest for poem-making during middle school!"
"What did you write about? Being an idiot?"
[Surname] mumbled something under her breath as she glared at the pavement.
"What are you saying, you idiot?"
"It was about baking and volleyball," she said.
"Hah?"
"The poems I wrote that made me win!"
Once I heard what she said, I started snickering. As a response, she glared at me and slapped my arm while telling me to shut up.
"I knew you were obsessed with volleyball, but winning a poem about it was something I never imagined," I said, still snickering.
"Hey!" she said. "Of course I won with it! They couldn't deny the passion in it!
"I can't believe I'm helping an idiot like you," I said.
"You just can't see the talent in front of you."
"I can but I'm afraid yours is just really unnoticeable," I said, smirking.
"I'll prove you wrong!"
[Surname] brought out her phone and opened her notepad. She started typing but she'd often delete them seconds after. A groan came from as she ruffled her own her.
"I'm blank," she said.
"So much for proving me wrong," I teased.
"Shut up, Tsukki. I just need something to trigger my creative brain cells."
She bit her lip as she tried to start off the poem. Then, she started puffing her cheeks after she was done with biting her lip. To make it worse, she was humming in one tone only for about ten seconds already as she tried to think.
"You sound like you're constipated," I said. "If you're finding a hard time, you should try it from a different angle."
"Different angle," [Surname] said as she stared at her phone. She snapped her fingers and started typing. "Thank you, Tsukki!"
