Through Shadow and Lightning A Warrior Rises

Chapter 12

Scrap, Steven, and Alexa had just left the village driving towards Gloire City (Scrap of course driving like a demon).  Steven was on the phone with X telling him about what they saw and learned.

"The elder told us to find Enzo Fabron" Steven said.  "He's the Godfather of the Kalosian mafia and the elder's son-in-law.  We were told he might help us combat the shadows.  We're heading to Gloire City to try and find his club."

"Okay let me check something" X said typing the name into a search bar.  "It looks like he is having a party at his club in two days.  His wife gave birth to a baby boy a year ago and are celebrating his first birthday.  All of the mafia families will be there, extremely high profile, tight security, have to have a lot of money or personal invitations.  Luckily, you got the hookup from me, and with a few clicks of the keyboard you three have invitations to the party.  Dress nice for this is hella formal."

"You got the answers for everything don't you?" Steven asked.

"Nope, I'm just that damn good" X said and hung up.

Suddenly, Scrap slammed on the brakes throwing Steven and Alexa forward hard.

"The hell was that for?" Alexa asked miffed.

Scrap pointed and they saw a Pokemon passed out on the road.  They got out a saw it was a Totodile and it looked like it got fucked up in a fight.  After treating its injuries with potion and giving it some Pokemon food, Scrap picked it up and put it in the front seat and Steven got in the back next to Alexa.  When he got in his hand brushed hers and they quickly looked away.  Scrap saw this and smirked and then proceeded to continue driving at insane speeds.

Meanwhile

X hung up the call and thought for a minute.  The shadows were moving faster than expected.  This latest development confused X even more, something he hated being.  Why would the shadows bother getting that stone when they had no use for it.  They could easily destroy this world without some Pokemon move.  In any case, X knew he needed to accelerate his plan, and that meant calling on an old friend of Ash's.  X called on the video screen and Professor Oak's face filled the screen.

"Ah, it's you X.  What can I do for you?"

"I need to speak to Gary" X said.  "Operation Darklight is in the process of starting.  The shadows are starting to attack more around Kalos, increasing their numbers by rape and their power due to the negative emotions felt by their victims."

"He left for the Alola region this morning" Professor Oak said worriedly.  "I sent him there for a forced vacation.  My sense of timing has never been good."

"This is something no one should have to account for sir" X said.  "Alola, huh?  I will send another one of my brothas to provide surveillance and deliver the message.  The shadows will soon turn their attention to me and Ash's group soon.  I can protect them here, but I can't be in multiple places at once and I will admit only my biological brother, Juggernaut, is stronger than me.  Gary needs to be ready for any potential attack."

Professor Oak nodded and hung up.  X used his communicator and called.  A loud voice answered.  "Yo X-man what is good?"

"You are as charismatic as ever, Cash" X said chuckling.

Cash was an angel with a very real "I don't give a fuck" attitude.  He also had a rather dirty sense of humor.  However, whenever a battle has to be fought or you are in a pinch, Cash will always be ready to fight and will go from 0 to 100 real fucking quick.

"Man you know I always keep it real and loud" Cash said.  "In any case, you called me so what you got?"

"I need you to go to Alola and keep an eye on Gary Oak" X told him.
