Chapter 3

Dara's pov

"What are you reading?" I raised my head so fast I was surprised I didn't break it. I turned to see Caspion leaning against the door frame of my bedroom door.

"Just another book" I said while turning back to my book.

"Let me guess. Another book about dragons."

"What are you doing here Caspion? Aren't you supposed to be doing warrior stuff?"

He looked at me with fake hurt on his face and left the door and came to stand beside me.

"Now don't tell you do not enjoy my company." I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you really here Caspion?"

He sighed.

"Rhys and Lunar are at it again."

Now it was my turn to sigh.

"What are they arguing about this time?"

He gave me the" are you seriously asking me that question"look.

"Do they really need a reason to argue?"

"So basically the big bad wolf ran away because he was scared of a little bickering."

I sighed. Now there's no way I'm going to be able to read my book in peace.

"Oh Selena, awoken from your much needed age long nap already?"replied Caspion.

"Oh shut it soldier boy I'm not that old and even if I was,I would still look stunning."

"How would I know? it's not like I can see you."

"You idiot,didn't you study? Phantoms stop aging once we hit 24"

"Hmmn,and how old are you again?"

Ok that's it I've had enough. I took my book,left the room and headed towards the library. I sat down on the couch and began to read.

Before Caspion came into the room,I was studying about behavioural patterns of dragons. I just can't believe what happened back at the field two days ago. I met an actual dragon.

"Dragons are very bold and not afraid to voice their opinion. They are the strongest creatures among the Hinay. It is very hard to hurt a dragon much more killing them.
The most precious bond to dragons is that of mates. They cherish the mating bond so much that they can die for it without a second thought.
The second most precious bond to dragons is that of friendship. Their friendship bond is even greater than the bond of parents and children.
The most precious possession of the dragons are their wings. They cherish their wings because their wings are their protection. A dragons wings is very strong and can protect them against bullets, arrows,and even cannons. If a dragon were to lose his wings,he is to be considered a disgrace. After all what is a dragon without it's wings."

I closed the book and sighed. Looking back, Aiden's wings did look somewhat rough, like it was pieced back together. I wonder what happened to them.

I got up and headed back to my room. Hopefully, Selena and Caspion would have stopped bickering. Those two are hopeless. They obviously like each other and that's why they pick on each other.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm still friends with them. Oh that's right; because they're my only friends and I love them like that.

I entered my bedroom glad to see that Caspion was gone but I'm not sure about Selena.

"Selena,are you in here?"

No response.

"Oh thank goodness" I said before falling back heavily on the bed.

"I didn't know I was such a pest that you would want me gone"

I quickly sat up straight and frantically looked around the room even though it was useless because I couldn't see her.

"You know I didn't mean it like that Selena, besides you've got to admit you and Caspion in the same room is almost as bad as Rhys and Lunar."

"Exactly,the key word there being almost, not yet."

I rolled my eyes.

"You know I think you and Caspion would make a fine couple."

"What?" I could practically see her pacing.

"Never. Have you lost your mind? Me and soldier boy,no way. You know what? I think you're just way too tired. You should get some sleep."

I rolled for the millionth time today as I felt a hand pressing me on to my back and pulling the covers over me. I smiled as I said

"Good night Selena. Dream of soldier boy."

"Shut up and go to bed Dara ."

I laughed as I let sleep overcome me.

Hey guys, I was getting a little depressed when this book wasn't getting any views and I decided to take it down but then tonight I saw that people had actually started to read this so I decided to continue with it. I am super tired right now but I just wanted to post this chapter as a thank you to all my readers out there. I apologise for the short chapter.
