Chapter 15

Dara's pov

This week was very hectic to say the least. The whole of Abbadon and Dacia were preparing for mine and Aiden's wedding.

"No, I want a French pattern embroidery at the hem of the gown and her veil should flow. What is wrong with you people?"I heard Lunar say.

I was currently in gown testing and after that we have cake testing and flower arrangements.

We decided to have the wedding in Dacia and Abbadon. We would first marry the traditional way which was Abbadon's custom and then we would marry Dacia's way.

So here I am, back in Abbadon preparing for my wedding. I can't believe it,I'm finally getting married. I'm still in shock that Aiden's father actually gave us his blessings.

At first,I could tell he didn't like me but anytime I remember how he accepted me, I still can't believe it.

Flashback

It's been five days since we arrived in Dacia and three of those days, I've been confined in my quarters. I was only allowed to go out to the garden and the courtyard but with at least five guards,three maids and my ladies-in-waiting.

This was because Dacia was apparently having unwanted guests that are really dangerous so I couldn't walk around anyhow I wanted.

"My lady, we should head back now."said a guard. I was in the courtyard with the guards chosen by Aiden and Caspion but Selena and Kendra weren't here with me.

"Five more minutes and then we'll head back."

He just nodded and retreated. I continued to walk around and watch the snow as it fell until I heard the voice.

"I didn't know that Dacia was in possession of such beauty."

I turned my head towards the voice and I was met with the face of a young man. He was handsome but I've seen better.

My guards, hearing the voice, immediately came and stood around me in a circle with their weapons drawn. I was beyond confused.

"Pardon my guards sir but I don't know you that's why they're so defensive."

"Oh they have every right to be defensive. Such a rare treasure like you shouldn't go unprotected.

My name is Lord Narcisse. I'm a friend of Aiden's."

"Oh, nice to meet you my Lord. My name is Dara."

"And what position do you hold in Dacia for so many guards to be assigned to you?"

Before I could speak, the head guard spoke.

"That is none of your business. My lady we are heading back now."

I couldn't even protest before I was dragged back my room.

That night Aiden came and explained that the guy i met earlier today was once his best friend/cousin who betrayed him and caused him to almost loose his wings. And that he was part of the royal family but has no right to claim the throne as he was a lower breed.

He left Dacia after betraying Aiden and was not seen for the past three years but now he was back to claim the throne with the backing off two other dragon kingdoms.

Aiden also said that he suspects that Narcisse was here for another purpose which they don't know yet.

I fell into a restless sleep dreaming of all the terrible things that Narcisse could be planning.
