Chapter 14

Dara's pov

I looked out the window of the carriage and over the large hills as we journeyed to the castle of Dacia. Aiden and I were riding together while Selena and Kendra were riding in another carriage following behind us with Caspion following on his horse together with his soldiers and Sebastian.

"We're here."Aiden's voice made me look at him for a second then back outside and I saw the beautiful castle come into view.

"Let's go?" I nodded and we stepped out of the carriage.

"His majesty king Henry and her majesty queen Catherine." The announcer introduced the royal family as they came forward to welcome us.

"Let's go."repeated Aiden as he took my hand and we walked towards his parents.

As we got to his parents,I immediately bowed with Selena, Kendra and Caspion following in my footsteps.

"Good day your majesties. I am princess Dara of Abbadon."

"Rise child." I did as was asked and met the smiling face of his mother.

"Welcome home son."

"Good to be home mother."

"Shall we take this inside?" The king spoke for the first time.

We all walked inside and into the*courtroom* and the king and queen situated themselves on their various thrones.

"How was your journey?" The queen asked while looking at me.

"It was pleasant. Thank you for asking."

Her response was a small smile.

"Why don't you all take a rest now I'm sure you must be tired. Aiden I would like to see you later tonight in my chambers. Servants,show the princess and her entourage to their various rooms."said the king then we left.

"Aiden?" I called as we entered  my room.

"Yes?"

"Did I do something wrong? Your father doesn't seem to like me."

He sighed softly before he answered.

"It's not you. He has trust issues because of what happened to me a while ago."

"What happened?"

"I'll tell you later. You should get some rest now." He came to me and gave me a small kiss on the lips before retreating out of the room.

I flopped down on the bed ready to fall asleep until I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."I said not making any move to get up.

"Get your ass up Dara,you need to take a bath." I groaned as Selena's words reminded me that I hadn't yet had my bath.

I got up to see Selena and another maid holding a large wooden tray with what looked like a change of clothes for me and looked like her eyes were gonna fall out their sockets with the way she widened them.

She was probably in shock hearing Selena speak to me the way she did. I rolled my eyes.

"Put the tray down and go prepare the bath." Selena instructed the maid and she scurried of out the door at the side of the room that I didn't notice before.

"Already bossing the servants around I see. Where's Kendra?"

"Kitchen. "As soon as the words left her mouth,the door opened to reveal the mentioned girl accompanied by two maids holding large trays with different meals on them.
