It's been three years since Aiden and I got married. We rode together on this journey of life and we have come this far.
I moved to Dacia permanently and gave up the throne of Abbadon to Rhys after all he also is of royal descent. Caspion and Selena are engaged to be married, Sebastian and Kendra are in a relationship but are taking things slow and Aiden and I are expecting our first child.
This isn't the first time I got pregnant. During the last three years, I've been pregnant twice but we lost both children.
Those were hard times for everyone. Catherine doted on me those times and was always there for me, comforting me. King Henry passed away two years ago after suffering from a terminal illness that went too long without treatment.
Aiden became King three months after his father died and I his queen.
Selena and Kendra don't serve me anymore but they come around to visit once in a while.
"The queen dowager is here." Hearing those words,I got up from my seat and looked towards the door with a smile on my face.

"Catherine, pleasure to have you here."I said as I bowed slightly. She insisted that I call her Catherine and after a lot of persuasion, I gave in.
"My dear,why are you up? sit down."she assisted me in sitting down on a chair.
"Why are you all alone? Where's that maid of yours?"
"She went to the kitchen to prepare some tea and biscuits for me. I've been craving a lot of biscuits lately."
"Oh? That's such a coincidence, when I was pregnant with Aiden, I also craved a lot of biscuits." She took a seat next to me and we talked about lots of things. This has been our normal routine for some days now since Aiden won't allow me to attend to court affairs because of our past experiences with the other pregnancies.
While we were talking,the maid came in and served the tea and biscuits then left.
When we were crowned king and queen, Aiden announced that I would be attending to some court affairs and despite the protest of most court officials, he kept his promise.
He said when we both handle court affairs,it shows that we are equals and no one is superior to the other.
"And how is my wife and baby doing today?"said Aiden as he came into the room and walked straight to me to hug and kiss me.
"Now I'm jealous. You didn't ask about me, your mother."said Catherine with her hand on her chest in fake hurt.
"That's because I know that my mom is the strongest woman in the whole of Dacia."
"True that."
Aiden walked over to his mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Well since your husband is here now, I better get going."
