Chapter 11

Hi everyone, long time no see. Sorry for not updating this past week. It's just I had a massive case of writer's block but I'm back now. hope you enjoy.

Also, warning I may or may not have done a little bit of a time skip cause I'm a lazy author. Sorry in advance.

Aiden's pov

I spent the whole day with Dara - under supervision of course - until it was time for me to go prepare for the masquerade ball that Rhys and Lunar are hosting tonight for all the nobles and the remaining five participants.( I forgot to write in the other chapter that apart from those four,Dara accepted someone else's gift which was a book about the different creatures of the Hinay.)

I went back to my tent and saw Sebastian sitting on my bed all dressed up and ready to go.

"What are you doing here?"

"What do you think? I'm here to pick you up so we can get going."

"Well to do that,I have to get dressed first so....." I looked at him with my brows raised.

"So........what?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"So......get out so I can change."

He burst out laughing. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Out now."

"Fine." He said as he got up and left. I quickly took a shower and got dressed and soon, we were off to the ball.

Dara's pov

"Why won't you answer me? You owe me that much." I was currently pestering Lunar to tell me why she accepted the gift from the cenauth. She just rolled her eyes and continued ordering the seamstresses on the changes to make for my gown.

"Answer me please."

"Dara, just go have a bath and get ready for the ball. I'll tell you later."

"Why can't you just tell me now?"

She finally turned to look at me.

"I said I'll tell you you later." She said in a voice that left no place for arguments.

"Selena, Kendra." She called out and they stopped what they were doing and came over to us.

"Yes my lady " they said simultaneously as they both bowed slightly.

"Take Dara and run a bath for her. Make sure she's thoroughly cleaned. I'll send up your dresses."

And before I could process what was happening,I was dragged to my room and was in the bathtub with Selena and Kendra helping me bath.

Dara's bathroom

Later, my gown and Selena's and Kendra's gowns were brought up by Lunar's personal maid.

We got dressed and headed towards the ballroom. Everyone was already there - surprisingly even the cenauth was in attendance.

" Princess Dara, lady Selena and lady Kendra have arrived."shouted the announcer.

All eyes turned to us as we walked in. I scanned the crowd noticing how the nobles' daughters were drooling over my Aiden and the man beside him.

But Aiden seems to pay them no mind as his eyes followed me as I walked over to the thrones and took a seat at mine.

Even the guy beside him paid
them no mind as he was more interested in the snack table. That is until he looked up and glanced at Kendra. I laughed slightly at the way the chicken leg  was dangling from his mouth.

I leaned over towards Kendra who was seated at my left while Selena say by my right.

"Looks like you've caught someone's interest."

Her eyes bulged out of her eyes.

"What,who?"

I pointed subtly to the man.

"Who is he?"

"He's a fine piece of man meat that's for sure."said Selena as she finally decided to butt in.

"Selena!"exclaimed a very horrified Kendra. I just laughed used to Selena's craziness already.

"What if someone heard you?"

"Then I would tell them that that fine hot piece of a hunk is developing an interest in you and as the senior lady- in- waiting I'm looking out for you and telling you how hot he is, is me giving you the thumbs up to give him a chance."

"Only if you give soldier boy a chance." Kendra retorted as she had a devilish smirk on her face.

I decided to step in before things got out of hand.

"Speaking of which, where is Caspion? I haven't seen him today.

All three of us scanned the crowd and Selena was the first to spot him

"The idiot's over there talking your own man meat."

I felt my face heat up as I looked over to see that the three - including Kendra's admirer whose name I now remember since Aiden talked about him a lot while we were together today- were indeed talking and they seemed to get along quite well though Aiden's eyes did travel to mine every once in a while.

"Ooh your blushing."said Kendra.

"Shut up."

"No she's right your face is as red as a tomato."said Selena as she laughed lowly.

"I said shut up."

Aiden's pov

Sebastian and I have been talking to Caspion - the demon I helped at the swamar - all night and I found out that he has absolutely no interest in Dara but rather her  lady-in-waiting, the red haired one - and that he's only participating in the swamar because of Rhys who is not in attendance tonight.

Caspion said he had important matters to deal with.

Ever since I revealed that I was a dragon to the whole of Abbadon, everywhere I go, I hear whispers about how I'm the first dragon anyone has seen in the last millennia and girls just don't stop flocking around me.

To be honest, I despise the attention.

I looked up again at Dara and she was chatting with her ladies-in-waiting. I also noticed that her godmother looked distressed and from time to time she would glance at the cenauth .

I wonder what could be bothering her.

Hi, sorry for the late chapter. I actually wrote it a long time ago but I couldn't publish it because Wattpad was being a b***h.

Q/A: why do you think Lunar accepted the cenauth gift?

Also I'll be giving you all a double update so stay tuned and expect the next chapter in a few minutes/ hours i.e if Wattpad doesn't decide to make me suffer.
     
    I'll post pictures of their clothing later since Wattpad doesn't want me to right now.
