Haikyuu!! One-Shots!

DaiSuga - Lazer Tag

          After a successful practice match after weeks of training and preparing, Daichi was quite proud of his team. Therefore, Daichi and Sugawara decided they wanted to surprise their team (basically their kids) with a fun day. Coach Ukai canceled practice that day to let them rest, so Daichi invited them all to a fun pizza place.

He made it clear that the food was on him, but Suga insisted on paying for something. He was the mom of the team, so it only made sense for him to be so proud of his beloved kids. Him and Daichi decided they'd all play laser tag together, that way Sugamama could fulfill his need to give back to the team by paying for a game.

After a few minutes of getting the entire team of twelve, plus Kiyoko, Yachi, Coach Ukai, and Takeda, they were finally all seated at the long table to order their pizza. It took a long time for them all to decide on what typed of pizzas to get, but they finally decided on teriyaki chicken pizza, natto pizza, chashu pork pizza, and squid ink pizza, along with a few sides. Daichi and Suga made sure their was something for everyone, and something each person liked. The mother crow was afraid one of her children wouldn't see something they liked, so he made sure all of the crows agreed that they had ordered something they'd eat.

Soon enough, their food was delivered. The team was ecstatic. "Thanks for the food!" The whole team exclaimed after clapping their hands together to thank the workers.

Then, just like that, the group split into their little cliques. Kageyama and Hinata, already arguing over something petty. Yamaguchi talking to Tsukishima about something or other, as he listened careful and wasn't acting salty for once (at least to Yama). Tanaka and Nishinoya wallowing over Kiyoko and also explaining their plan to win laser tag in the most chaotic and dangerous way possible while Asahi placed his hand on Noya's back to try and talk some sense into the wild libero. Ennoshita and the other second years enjoying the food and speaking calmly while rolling their eyes and laughing at Tanaka and Noya. Then the coaches stayed together while Kiyoko calmed Yachi down after she started panicking about something new. And that left Sawamura Daichi and Sugawara Koushi.

"Hey Daichi, it's been a while since we got to hang out alone." Suga laughed as he glanced over at the kids. At his kids. At their kids.

"What can I say? Handling twelve baby crows can be a lot sometimes." Daichi winked as they both laughed.

Suga was right, it had been a while since they got to catch up. They were always together and yet, somehow, they always managed to be accompanied by someone else. Which was the reason why Daichi had such a hard time trying to confess to Suga. He knew he had fallen for the gorgeous setter since his first year, but he was scared to confess at first. Suga may be strong on the court, but his feelings were very fragile, and Daichi was afraid to hurt him. Now that they've been best friends for three years, he couldn't help but notice whenever the angel started staring at him. It started getting quite obvious that the two of them were head over heels for each other, especially when they started admitting they were practically a married couple taking care of their twelve kids.

At first, whenever Tanaka or Noya would refer to them as 'Mom' and 'Dad', it was a little embarrassing. They couldn't help but feel their faces burn up after realizing their entire team was rooting for them to get together. But now, they accepted their titles, and couldn't be more proud of their baby crows.

All that aside, of course Daichi was still nervous. Who wouldn't be, after being best friends and basically co-captains for as long as they had? He wanted to do it, and despite his nerves, was going to do it. He just needed a plan.

"Hey Sugamama!" Tanaka's call pulled Suga out of his deep conversation with the zoned-out Daichi.

"Oh hey, Tanaka! What's going on? Everything alright?" Suga smiled his signature smile. The smile from an angel. He turned towards the iconic duo of Tanaka and Noya as he noticed the small libero standing on his chair.
