Leilani's POV
I am officially a fourth year Hogwarts student, but I'm still not in my time. I've made friends with Severus and my mum. Kinda weird to call her mum when she's my age, so I call her Lily. The three of us were close and were nearly together all the time. But it wasn't like Harry and I. I always felt stronger, braver and happier when he was around. His father on the other hand, was annoying, cocky and acts like a player. Girls all love him. He breaks hearts. Only Lily and I are the girls who don't lose their minds when he's around. And he always flirts with me like Ronald does. Except it's even crazier.
Then something disturbed my thoughts.
Of course it was James freaking Potter.
"What do you want?" I ask in an annoyed tone.
"Will you go to Hogsmeade with me?" He asked for an a millionth time.
"My answer still is and always will be no." I replied as usual. He looked kinda sad. Maybe I was too harsh? But this was wrong! I might've erased my bestfriend from existence by saying yes to him! True, no one knows who his mother is, but I'm not risking his existence.
I watched Potter (James, not Harry) slump sadly as he walked back to his friends. I couldn't help to feel extremely guilty.
What a way to start my year.
