Chapter 12

Cordelia POV

It's been a week. A week since the incident with the Northsiders. A week since I've spoken to Dakota about the gun powder. A week of me and Aithne suspecting Dakota. I've had enough of it. She's watching me like I'm her pray, waiting to snatch me and kill me. I can't deal with it anymore. I can't be alone with one of the others without her appearing, especially when I'm with Aithne alone. She's threatened me a couple times because she doesn't want the others knowing or suspecting her. Can't she just leave me alone. It just shows that I'm onto her. It just shows that she definitely is hiding something. Because of this, I decided to look into her past. Decided to see if she truly is hiding something from us. And sure enough she is.

That Hongjoong guy, is her brother. She is apart of his gang. She was hiding it all away from us. I've decided that tonight at dinner I will bring it up. She won't be able to get out of this one. And she will get murdered by Aithne.

WAIT!! what if she's told the Northsiders all our plans?

Don't be so stupid. She wouldn't do that to us... Or would she?

I can't keep second guessing myself like this. We can't trust her and she's proven that by doing what she's done.

What went through Dakota's mind for her not to tell us this? Did she get told to do this by her brother? Did she think we wouldn't let her in our gang if we knew about her brother? What was she thinking to lie to us?

My door suddenly opens snapping me out of my thoughts immediately. I look over to the door and see Dakota. So she did listen then?

"What did you want to see me for?" She asks innocently.

"Come in and sit down. Close the door behind you" I reply, ignoring her question. She does as I asked.

"What do you want to see me for?" She repeats

"Want to talk to you about what happened between us and the Northsiders" I answer making her confused.

"What about it?"

"Their leader of theirs is your brother, isn't he?" I question her even though I know the answer already.

"What? No" playing the dumb card, huh?

"Don't play dumb with me. I know he's hour brother" I say, venom underlying my words. She stays silent.

"Lia I can explain" she mutters, but I heard her.

"There's nothing to explain. You didn't have to lie to us, you could of told us. We wouldn't of minded. I was going to help you not get murdered by Aithne, but you lied to me just now and I don't know if I should" is all I say.

"Sorry unnie... But I couldn't just tell you guys. There's a lot more to it than that"

"No point saying sorry to me" I snap. "Your friends with that gang. I now know why two of them looked familiar." I continue.

"Yes, okay. Fine, I am friends with them. So what? They're really nice people when you get to know them" she says. Bitch, I don't care if they're nice people, they're our enemies.

"Dakota, their our enemies, I don't want to get to know them or have anything to do with them anyway" I reply.

She sighs before saying another word. "You aren't going to tell the others are you?" She asks. Bitch of course I am telling them.

"Yeah I am" I reply sternly.

"Please don't. Please"

"Should of thought about this before helping them. Plus if you get kicked out, it's not like there will be a problem with you finding a place to stay."

"Whatever" she gets up and leaves. God that girl has attitude. I see were she gets it from, her brother has a lot of attitude it seems like.

- time skip -

We are all at dinner. All eating peacefully. I need to bring it up but how? Should I just go for it?

"You okay Lia?" Hana asks.

"Hmm, yeah.. just thinking" this sparks their interest, all except Dakota.

"What about?" Aithne asks. She loves to hear what I have to say, doesn't she?

"Just about a certain someone" I look and Dakota slightly, hoping they all catch on. I see Dakota tense slightly as i do so.

"Who's that someone?" Hana asks, god she's stupid. The others give her a 'really?' look. The others know who I'm ok about I'm guessing.

"It's about Dakota dumbass" Tryne says. Okay so they do know.

"Oh.. what about her?" She then asks.

"Oh just something she's kept away from us" I reply. They all give me confused look while I'm receiving a death glare from Dakota.

"Which is what?" Our leader asks.

"Oh the fact that the Hongjoong guy is her brother and she's friends with the rest of his gang" I say casually. Hana chokes on her food whilst Aithne looks like she's about to kill Dakota.

"That can't be true" Hana says after recovering.

"Well it is" I say.

"Why the fuck didn't you tell us!!??" Aithne questions Dakota, clearly pissed off.

"I... I couldn't." She replies. Such a pathetic excuse.

An argument erupts between Aithne and Dakota. Adara trying to calm down her sister. Me just watching it all go down. And Hana and Tryne not knowing what to do. After a while Adara was able to calm down her twin. God, Aithne can be a handful. Dakota mutters something, which I didn't quite catch, but Aithne clearly did.

"The moment you walk out those doors, your not coming back in" Aithne replies. Oh shit. She really hasn't taken this well at all. I'm not that surprised though.

"Happily" Dakota says.

"No, please don't go Dakota" Hana says, not wanting to let her close-ish friend go.

"Hana, just leave her be. She's not worth keeping around" Aithne says. Damn that was a bit harsh.

Dakota just gets up a leaves the building. Looks like we won't be seeing her again. I'm rather happy to be honest. I don't think I'd be able to sleep properly with her around. I don't trust Dakota no more.

Dakota POV

I basically got told to leave so I did. I don't want to be around a bunch of people that don't trust me anymore anyway. God I hate Cordelia for telling them, but I see why she did. I get a couple blocks down and decide to text hongjoong telling him what happened.

It doesn't take them all long before they got here, only about 15mins later. They ask me what happened and how they all found out I explain to them what happened and about the argument. Half way through we hear gunshots from a few blocks away. Panick arises in me.

"Where did that come from?"
