minseo grabbed doyoung's wrist and pulled him away from the boy before anything else could be said. she made her way back to the group but didn't sit down, just signaling to eunha that she needed to talk. once eunha understood she quickly got up and they walked a few feet away from their friend group.

"lucas is here," minseo said.

eunhas face immediately changed from worry to absolute disgust. "that son of a bitch? did he say anything to you?"

"just being his usual asshole self," misneo sighed, "but i don't want to start anything. i just had to tell you because it was just so unexpected."

eunha nodded and although she was the violent and loud friend, as much as she wanted to start a riot she remained calm and respected her friends wishes.

"okay, i'm not gonna let these bitches ruin our night, so let's go." eunha grasped her friends wrist and pulled her towards the drinks and made sure the oldest's in the group weren't watching before pouring them both a drink. minseo laughed before the two of them chugged together, eunha not being phased. but minseo squeezing her eyes together, squirming, not being so used to the taste.

"gross," she complained.

eunha smiled widely, "i know right!"

none of the group had noticed the two wander off and it wasn't long until they were tipsy. minseo was not a drinker, she never got drunk because her first time was a horrible experience, but with eunha and all her other friends attending the party she felt much better. they danced together in the small crowd of students doing the same, not a care in the world.

what felt like hours passed but it was only a small amount of time they were dancing and the music had stopped. the only thing heard was the irritated groans from the students and the loud voice of someone screaming for someone to get out of their house. minseo and eunha looked at each other and got curious, so they walked over to wear all the ruckus was coming from.

to their surprise, their friend jaehyun was in the middle of it, and to make it worse the other person was lucas. minseo's mouth dropped open immediately. jaehyun seemed furious, and not just a little mad, but to point where she thought he was going to explode. he was yelling at the boy in front of him, a vein in his neck visible from any angle. lucas on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying seeing him so mad, because the only thing on his face was that cocky smirk he constantly carried. doyoung and johnny were on the side joining in on the argument, and as jaehyun stepped closer, kun stepped in to separate the two before someone got hurt.

unfortunately that wasn't enough because jaehyun managed to throw a punch. minseo and eunha gasped out loud, their hands flying up to their mouths in shock. the yelling got louder and jaehyun was being dragged out of the house by college guys. the eldests of the friend group were following close behind, not leaving their friend, but minseo didn't know what to do. mark and haechan found her.

"minseo, are you okay?" mark asked, his voice worried. minseo nodded, not sure why he'd be asking that question, but was grateful anyways.

"um.. what happened between them?" she asked finally.

"he was saying stuff about you, minseo." haechan replied. his usual outgoing and bratty attitude was nowhere to be seen, so he had to have been upset as well.

minseo didn't question further because she didn't even want to know what he could have been saying about her, she just sighed and crossed her arms, her drunken state not being able to take everything in. the four were quiet now, and kun came back and lead them out of the house.

the entire group was outside now, being told never to come back or they'd get kicked out again. taeyong was the only one missing but minseo wasn't thinking about that in the moment. everyone was silent and jaehyun was sitting on the porch steps, feeling regretful for ruining their night.

"i guess we should all just go home then?" johnny called out. you could tell he was upset but he refused to stay after they kicked his friend out.

before anyone else got the chance to say anything, the door busted open and there came taeyong and haerin. for some reason seeing the two made minseo's heart sink, but she shook it off immediately because there was no reason to feel a certain way about them.

"what the hell happened?" despite not associating with the group all night, he was pissed. jaehyun didn't say anything. he was clearly still heated and his friend that was also angry wasn't helping. they both needed to cool off. you would never see these two so mad, they weren't the type of people to get mad so this made everyone silent.

"so no ones gonna fucking say anything?" haerin looked startled over taeyong's loud and aggressive tone, but tried not to let anyone see.

haechan, who was always the first to speak up when things weren't right, broke the silence, "this dude was saying gross things about minseo so jaehyun punched him. that's all. i don't know why you care so much when you don't even bother to text us back and show up here anyways thinking we'd be a o fucking kay with it."

taeyomg clenched his jaw but didn't say anything. probably because he was right. he was always the one to say what everyone was thinking, and at this point they'd all had enough.

minseo decided she wanted to speak up too, "can we just go home?" her voice was quiet and scratchy, mostly from screaming song lyrics with eunha for most of the night. she was still pretty drunk and all she wanted to do was sleep and forget about this night for the rest of her life.

no one expected her to say anything but they all agreed and made their way to the cars they came here in. minseo and eunha held hands as they followed johnny to his car, got in, and finally left the campus. minseo kept feeling her eyes well up with tears, but she couldn't let herself cry. she felt like this was all her fault, one second they were having the best time ever, the next they were getting kicked out and forced to go home when the night had just begun.

the tension in the car could've been broken with a straight up knife. it was so awkward, so minseo just rested her head in her hand and closed her eyes.
