While daydreaming, her phone rang and saw that it was Thirdy. She was contemplating kung sasagutin niya ba, but she did answer it anyways
"Hello?"
"Hello Bei. Kumusta ka na?" she got goosebumps hearing his voice. It's been a while since nag-usap sila kaya it felt strange somehow
"Hey! I'm doing great. Ikaw? It's been a long time..." she said, trying to be as enthusiastic as possible
"Okay naman ako. I heard that you've been studying for the licensure exams ha… how was it?" Bea rolled over to the other side of the bed to get her journal
"Mahirap, but I'm getting there. Thank you for asking!"
"Do you need any help?" he said with concern in his voice
"No I'm okay. Most of my problems naman does not involve the acads ehhh, medyo about sa emotional aspect of things…" tinakpan niya yung bibig niya because she realized that she went extra sa pagkekwento
"Kapag kailangan mo ng kakwentuhan, nandito naman ako. Kaibigan kita ehhh…"
Napasinghal si Bea because of what Thirdy said
'Yeah, hanggang kaibigan lang naman ehhh' she thought
"Yeah of course naman. I'll message you if ever I need to kwento…"
Silence enveloped the call. Thirdy stood up to his window trying to get a good grasp of air before opening another topic
"Bei, can I ask you a question?" she immediately felt her blood rushing to her heart
"Uhhh s-sure…" she stammers and she silently prayed na hindi napansin ni Thirdy yun
"How do you see yourself in the future?" he asked, and she felt that he dropped a bomb that she did not expect
"What do you mean? Like career-wise?" she faked a laugh after saying those
"Yeah sure. Anything, basta about sa future mo…" she stopped for a moment while thinking for the right words to say, but then she thought that there are no right words so she's just going to be honest
"After taking the licensure exam here, I will be heading to US para makasama family ko. So I'll probably practice my profession there…"
"You're leaving?" he said, shock evident on his voice. She just let out a bitter smile
"Yeah…"
Thirdy's mind suddenly went blank as he tries to process Bea's departure. Bea felt that he's not speaking anytime soon so she cleared her throat and speak up
"How about you Thirds? How do you see your future?" she asked, even if she's nervous for an unknown reason. Thirdy, on the other hand, tries to collect his thoughts
