She lunged up, digging her feet into the bricks jutting out of the nearby buildings. Each step gained her further momentum as she tailed her target. Amber blue eyes narrowed dangerously on the gangsters running amuck in the streets below. Their days of terrorizing shops would soon be over. No one else below even paid attention to her, but her companions flanking her on the tops of nearby buildings did. Respectfully they awaited her signal. Well, most of them anyways.

"Hahaha! There's nowhere for you to hide!"

"Gah! Get away!"

One figure, the one who had been behind Texas just a second before careened to the ground on a crash course towards one of the shady figures. Her black leather boot slammed into the guy's face. A trail of saliva spewed from his mouth as they went crashing to the ground. One down. Ten more to go. The other men had noticed their fallen companion and were sprinting away in terror of the white Lupus who was grinning victoriously up at her.

Rolling her eyes at Lappland's behavior, Texas angled her ears to the still running men. The people in the marketplace were gaping at the spectacle, except for the old man selling newspapers who didn't seem to notice Lappland's sudden intrusion. The rest of her companions moved like silent shadows after her, all intent on catching their targets.

And when she signaled to leap, they all followed.

"Ah! Run!"

"Oh no!"

"Not my tail!"

Swords were drawn and cross bows were leveled at their enemies. Like usual, Texas had herded them towards an alleyway to avoid unwanted eyes and the further spoiling of innocence. Blood spurted in the air to mix with the hefty smell of trash. Disgruntled shouts and howling cheers soon followed. But Texas hardly paid them any mind.

"No! Stay away from me you crazy broad!" Snarled a dark haired wolf with burly shoulders. The leader was clutching his ribs protectively like the action could somehow protect himself from getting impaled. She resisted the urge to role her eyes at his stupidity. Slowly, she unsheathed her sword, letting the golden blade catch the sunlight. The action brokered more panic from the lead wolf as an unbidden whimper came free. "Don't hurt me please!"

Texas would have no mercy for this man. "You come into the Texas Pack Land and call yourself a business man. But what kind of business man goes about abducting young women on their way home from work, selling them into a world of prostitution? How dare you ask for mercy!"

"I-I its just business. Nothing personal."

Her face quivered with rage. "Tell that to the dead. You'll be seeing them soon enough."

No matter what the man might've tried to do, there was no way he could stop her attack in time. Her attack was a clean stab. It went straight through the heart, killing the man instantly. When his lifeless body slumped to the ground in a bloodstained heap Texas felt no sense of accomplishment. This was what had to be done to protect her people. There was nothing more to it then that.

"Hahaha! I see I've missed the big finish." Lappland was rounding the corner, wiping the blood dripping off her own swords onto garbage bags nearby. The other members of their group watched the white wolf with amused eyes.

"You would've seen it if you hadn't went off your own again Lapp." Aura commented. Out of all the members in their group, the red haired Lupus was by far the youngest, and also had the biggest mouth. She was new to the group but Texas couldn't help feeling attached to her already. She knew Lappland felt the same way, though her companion had a funny way of showing it in assigning the orphaned girl to extra patrols.
