A/N: As promised, we'll be seeing some other members of Rhodes Island today.😎

*******

In some unknown coordinates . . .

Doctor sat with Amiya and Blaze. The three of them had been thrust from the carnage of one bad situation right into another seemingly. This pattern of bloodshed made a sickness churn, though it didn't hold a candle to the corpses and the messed up ruins they had just put behind them. The heat bore down on the broken truck they rested on for a brief time. The other operators from the somewhat successful mission (was it considered successful? Who knows?) were milling about, being treated by the medic operators still with them. While the Penguin Logistics operators and LGD had bolted relatively early on, the latter coming in the nick of time to fight the initial battle, it

"Doctor, are you okay?"

Turning, Y/N saw Amiya staring with worried eyes. The blue rings on her fingers were all neatly intact on her small fingers. She was in the process of twisting one of them while Blaze polished her chainsaw, humming some odd song or another to herself that Y/N did not know.

"I should be asking you that."

Those long, bunny-like ears twitched subtly. "Nonsense. I, I'm used to this. You aren't. No short amount of weeks would bridge the gap." She murmured.

"But I was used to it . . . once upon a time right?"

"Maybe, but that isn't the case anymore." Amiya reminded.

"You shouldn't be doing this, shouldn't have to go through everything. All this death. It's bad enough for adults, but you—"

The bunny's expression tightened. "I know that plenty of people working at Rhodes see me as a child. And they aren't wrong. I am young. But that doesn't mean I'm not capable of handling responsibilities just like everyone else."

"I know that. I just meant—"

Amiya took the Doctor's hands in hers, squeezing them gently. "I know you didn't mean anything bad by it. I know you just want me to be safe . . . and happy. And I am here. With you."

"I didn't realize how sappy you two were." Blaze finally added in. Her bright blue eyes were narrowed in on them, a meaningful look, though as to what she was trying to convey it was hard to tell.

"Blaze," Amiya huffed, face heating up an adorable shade of red. "It isn't polite to stare."

The chainsaw wielder shrugged. "I wouldn't stare if it wasn't right there in front of me. So, does anyone know when the plane'll be here? Or are we just going to sit here for the rest of the night?"

"Why? Got somewhere to be?" Doctor said, attempting a joke.

A poor choice really, if Amiya and Blaze's sudden frowns were anything to go by.

"Yes." Blaze spoke. "We all do. Or at least, us three do."

"Very true. It sounds like the LGD needs our help." Amiya added in.

"Too bad we can't bring everyone else," Blaze nodded over to the remaining members. "We could use all the help we can get."

"Mmm, but we've already asked so much of them. And Frostleaf, Meteorite and Jessica . . . they definitely need a break." Y/N remembered how bad off FrostLeaf had been earlier.

All because of her.

The forced meeting with the white bunny had slowed their progress, bringing to everything to a standstill as two parties struggled to get out their respective member. Thankfully, everyone had came out of that catastrophe relatively unharmed. But now . . . Y/N couldn't help but wonder . . .
