Contrary to popular belief, Penguin Logistics Headquarters was not anything like the multiple hideouts they had assorted throughout Lungmen and the other cities the group occasionally made their home in. After learning about Texas's affiliation with this group, Lappland could not help but wonder just what this logistics organization was like. Moreover, what made Texas choose working over at this Penguin Logistics instead of taking her rightful place as alpha after Gran's death.

She still held these questions when the van began to slow down as a building looked up ahead.

"We're pulling in now." Sora spoke to her phone. Whoever was on the other side made a sound of affirmative before the call abruptly ended. The bunny —because there was no way she would ever refer to the imposter as a wolf— still went rigid when she so much as looked in Lappland's direction. She ignored the terror so barely contained, and also the seemingly righteous anger too. Out of all Texas's friends, this "Sora" seemed to be the most protective. But hardly the most dangerous. The most dangerous, well, she catalogued their every move when the opportunity arose, had been doing so since the first crossing of their paths.

Sizing up would be pointless now however, so Lappland inched towards the glass, taking in the place she would be staying at for the foreseeable future. Just this once, her gaze would retract from Texas, who had not once said a word to her this car ride. Eh, playing hard to get Texas. I always love a challenge~.

The sky scraper was something you might see out of a magazine. Mostly metal in structure, PL HQ was not the largest building in Lungmen yet it seemed to be making the biggest statement. No matter the conditions of the streets and the poorly managed traffic lights, the headquarters was equipped with reflective windows rimmed with dark paint she suspected was like an air tight seal. The penguin like mouse pad symbol at the top was proudly on display with the Penguin Logistics insignia written in what looked to be a finely tuned signature. The P in particular received extra detail, as was the same for the light stroked tower poking its way out of the top, reminiscent of a weird sort of homing beacon that might've just been for better WiFi.

"So this is Penguin Logistics Headquarters huh. I never expected Emperor to make it big in anything other than music. He was always so . . ." She waved her hand like the gesture explained everything. It probably did not, but who would judge out of the already expected offenders.

"Wait! You know the boss?" Croissant asked.

Lappland yawned, stretching out her back, leaning up against the window earlier for the little nap she took had left behind an annoying crick that had yet to ease. It would be wonderful to be outside again. Cities tended to smell of slush and asphalt, especially busy ones, however she doubted the same would be said for the inside of PL headquarters. As it was, the van held the reminiscent smell of fast food and ketchup. A little air freshener tree hung over the mirror up front, so the faint scent of apple cinnamon was in the mix too. Croissant and Sora kept pressed to the other side of the row. She didn't mind the extra space —had almost pondered letting her legs drape over the two women's legs to spur a reaction. But Texas wouldn't like that, so I won't. She wouldn't like Lappland's answer either, but the white wolf wasn't one to lie.

"Yeah. Texas and I met him on a mission years ago back in Siracusa."

That seemed to catch Sora's attention. The bunny sat up straight, regarding her with a new light. "You and Texas use to work together?" The look on her face was akin to a child trying to piece together a puzzle. Lappland almost felt sorry for her. The amount of history she and Texas shared would take an impossibly long time to unpack. Even if they tried telling the whole story, something told there would be gaps in information. I doubt anyone would be able to piece it together in full, outside of the two of us. But then, there was always at least two sides to every tale. Lappland had one and Texas the other.
