MAEVE LISTENED TO the wind as she sat in her car. Her long brown curly hair laid in the front of her face, some parts were puffier than the others from the constant hair grabbing. She pushed the two front pieces behind her ear giving her a clear view of the road she was parked on. Maeve took a deep breath and grabbed the handle of the car, hopping out of the vehicle.

She grabbed her head as a sharp headache sprung out of no where. It seemed to leave as quick as it came making her face scrunch up in confusion, but she continued walking her way to Caroline's house.

The air snipped at her skin as it found ways through the seems of her coat. A cold breeze from the wind gave her an usual comfort.

Two month since she saw her sister. Two hard months of constant worry. Every second of the day, she'd think about what Bonnie was doing at the moment. It not only freaked Maeve out but made her to fall back on her school work, which she had no motivation to finish.

It was stressful doing this by herself for the most part, especially with Stefan gone and Elena's memories forgotten. That wasn't the worst part but she heard a certain Gilbert had gone off the rails, drinking or humping and dumping any girl he could get a hold of.

Caroline set up a small get together with everyone at her house since everybody's been so distant she would put in words.

Maeve walked up to the the fairly lit porch and raised her hand to knock. Before she could, an annoyed brown haired boy opened the door almost knocking her over. "Jeremy?" Maeve asked stunned to even see him so suddenly, it had been a while since she'd talked to her friend.

"Thank god you're here, you're the only one I can at least tolerate right now." He looked behind him as Maeve noticed Elena shouting his name. She chuckled knowing it was probably another one of their sibling brawls.

"I don't know if I should be offended or flattered?" Maeve asked stepping into the house, the warm air comforting her chilled body.

He let out a small laugh. Maeve hung her coat up on the rack by the door as many others hung along.

"Welllll I heard from a little birdy that you've been going haywire." Maeve crossed her arms at her grade school best friend. Jeremy rolled his eye. "Let me guess, that little birdy is Elena right?"

"Maybe, Maybe not." She shrugged her shoulders and Jeremy groaned knowing he was going to have to hear what he's already heard from his sister umpteen times.

"Come on germy, you're better than this." Maeve called him by the name she made up in grade school, not trying to sound too pushy to him cause boy he had a hell of a temper. Not as bad as lockwood thankfully. " I'm serious, how are you doing?"

Jeremy squinted his eyes at her but Maeve noticed the hint of humor as his mouth twitched up at the nickname.
"Whatever, if you're going to be another Elena i'm gonna go." Maeve stepped in his path blocking the door.
