Ava and her friends JJ, kiara, pope and her twin brother John B were all scattered along the premises of a new house that was being built. Ava was watching her brother as he stood at the top of a three story house from the floor as she sat next to JJ.
His brother, JJ and her had been best friends since the third grade, but as the years went by Ava started catching feelings for JJ.
The only sound that was heard were the seagulls and the ocean waves until pope spoke up "That's what, a three story fall to the deck?" continuing with the power drill in his hand "I give you about a one-in-three chance of survival"
Ava chuckled looking up at JJ before looking back to his brother. John B stuck his finger into his mouth then took it out to feel the wind blow against his finger "Should I do it?" he asked the group, but mostly pope.
She got up from her position "If you dont make it im taking your room you asshole" she shouted making JJ snort, all John B did was stuck his finger out at her which she, of course, reciprocated while rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, you should jump. I'll shoot you on the way down" Pope said, aiming the drill at the boy who was balancing on the tip of the roof.
Ava walked towards one of the many construction tables looking through the stuff "Please do it, it'll be entertaining, i'm bored" she said looking at the sunset, they ignored her and continued with their conversation
"Yeah, you're gonna shoot me?" John B said pointing his finger guns to Pope who just muttered a 'yep' in response, that was the last thing she heard before Kie came out of the house "They're gonna have Japanese toilets with towel warmers" she said disappointed
"Of course they are, why wouldnt they?" JJ said catching Ava's attention "This used to be a turtle habitat, but who cares about the turtles, I guess?" she replied while she looked up at John B on the roof.
"I cant have cold towels!" JJ babied to kiara, knowing damn well that he could never afford a house like the one that was being built
"Can you please.. not kill yourself?" Kie said to John B, closing one eye to look up due to the light hitting her in the eyes
Ava walked towards JJ and took a sip of his drink "Dont spill that beer, im not giving you another one" he said to John B
Before anyone noticed the wind picked up its speed, and John B's beer was in the ground in a matter of second. Ava began to laugh since he had done exactly what JJ had told him not to, she was on her way to pick up the can when something caught her eye
"Of course you did"
"Smooth"
"You're such an idiot"
Was what Ava heard while looking what had caught her eye, when she realized it was a car pulling up "oh shit, uh guys!" she said before pope continued to say "Hey uh, securities here, lets wrap it up"
"Boys are early today" John B said JJ looked up at him "Humpty Dumpty, lets roll" he said
"Lets go boys" Ava said
"Gary is that you?" JJ asked
"yes"
"Gary good to see you man" he said making Ava laugh "You're asking for it" she said
They began to run through the house, everyone loved the adrenaline of being chased, Ava started follwing JJ because he was the first person she saw
Then all of a sudden JJ triped making Ava trip behind him. He got up and pulled her with him, they continued running but, of course, JJ ran into the security guard slowing him and Ava down
They picked up their speed again really quickly and made a run for the nearest exit, another guard lunged to get JJ and Ava "Not much of a hugger man" JJ shouted to the guard making Ava crack a smile in a bad moment, the pair of friends made their way to the fence finding pope there
Ava hopped over the fence with a little help from JJ, pope and him right behind her
She got into the car and waited for the guys to catch up with her "Bus is leaving" she said while laughing
"Check out Gary gunnin' for a race" Ava laughed looking at the security guard who was slowly running out of breath
"stop guys you are gonna give him a heart attack" Kie said being the mom of our friend group
Meanwhile JJ was hanging out of the van taunting Gary with an empty beer can "Come here boy, you're so close! You can do it. There you go, they dont pay you enough bro" everyone was laughing at his stupidness
"JJ stop" Ava said still laughing at his behaviour
"Oh cmon. That sort of iniative is just begging to be punished" he replied making every body laugh even more
