~Chapter 10~

  I went to Lu's in the afternoon. She was talking with Carla on the phone. We had arranged to go out together. I hadn't brought up the Nadia matter. Yet
  "Why don't you stop lying to me?" Lu said on the phone.
  Apparently Carla had lied to us and was now waiting for Christian... and Polo... for some weird... threesome.
  Lu hung up the phone, clearly irritated.
  "I thought Polo and Carla were on bad terms lately.." I said, while sipping from my coffee. "And that was because of Christian actually... and they're having a threesome?"
  "I know darling. As if I hadn't too much on my mind already. Now Carla wants to resurrect her relationship with Polo by using that idiot." She said sitting on a chair opposite to mine.
  "What else is going on?" I asked carefully.
  "As if you don't know."
  "Lu... I want to be honest with you. What you did was a bit much. Telling Guzman to do that... he is equally guilty for agreeing of course, but... and then you told her... maybe it was for the best, but we both know you didn't do it to protect her... maybe you should just... I don't know... calm down a bit?" I was walking a dangerous line here. I knew that what I'd said could make her think more rationally, just as much as it could irritate her even more.
  "It doesn't matter now, anyway. He can't do anything to her now. Let's talk about something else, please, darling. It's that charity event tomorrow, right?"
  I'd totally forgot about that...

  I was back at home, in my room, when someone knocked the door. It was Marina.
"Hey.. Iréne... i want to talk to you..."
  I didn't looks up at her as I said, "oh so now you're talking to me again"
  She sat next to me. "I told Samuel"
  I looked at her "you told him what?"
  "I told him I have HIV."
  "Oh..." I didn't expect she would be telling him so soon.. "So, like... are you.. dating?"
  "No. I just wanted to tell him"
  "And is that why you were upset this morning?"
  "No that was... nothing" she seemed like she was ready to say something more but she regretted it. I didn't push her.
  "Ok.. so now you're ok, right?"
  "Yes I'm good.." a notification appeared on her phone "I have to go"

  The next day passed and I was at the charity event, wearing a pink dress. I was chatting with Lu and some guests.
  I'd spotted Ander once. He looked pretty good in his tuxedo, even with his arm on bandages. We hadn't talked much since yesterday.
  Everything was running smoothly so far. There had only been a dangerous encounter between Christian, who I still didn't know why was here, and Carla's and Polo's mothers, but it ended quickly.
  I went to a waiter to take another drink.
"Hey" Someone appeared next to me.
  "Hey Ander" I turned to him.
  "Are you having fun?" He looked really calm and confident. I waited for that smirk to appear. I knew what he wanted.
  "I'm trying to" I took a sip from my glass
    He smirked, at last, putting an arm around my waist and then said "Do you want to go somewhere more... private?"
  "Are you going to tell me what happened to your hand?"
  He shrugged. "Ugh why's that so important anyway?"
  "You know why, Ander. Tell me the truth. I need to know. And then... we can go wherever you want" I said smirking and playing with the hem of his shirt.
  "Okay.. After the party I wanted some more... you know what.. and Omar wouldn't give me. So I asked some random guys. And that happened" he pointed to his arm. I knew he was telling me the truth, but... wow..
  "For Christ's sake, Ander!" I said and was ready to say more.
  "Don't start now. You wanted the truth. That's it."
  "It's not so simp-" we heard noise from the gate.
  "God what's going on again" I said while walking with Ander towards that noise.
  "....he's my boyfriend" Marina said. It was the first thing I heard when I reached the place. I took in the scene unfolding in front of me...
  Samuel was standing next to Marina. People had gathered around them and were staring. My mum was clearly upset.
"Let's go Samuel" Marina said and took his arm.
  They hadn't managed to move a step when Guzman grabbed Samuel and tore his suit. That madness had to stop. I wouldn't let them humiliate my friend.
  I moved closer to them as Guzman said "your tag is showing". I hadn't noticed that. Before I could interfere Samuel was gone.
  "Guzman! You have no right to humiliate a person like that! Especially Samuel!" I said as I approached Guzman and Lu.
  "I have every damn right to do as I want. He wasn't invited. And why do you even care?"
  "He is my friend." I said and left.
  I grabbed a glass of wine and drank it instantly before going to where Ander was waiting for me.
  "Are you okay?" He asked me
  "Yes. Let's go"
  He took me to a more secluded room, with barrels of wine that could cover us.
  When we were no longer visible by others and Ander was standing in front of me, I got on my knees and undid his pants.

  When we were done, I was still very upset about the incident with Guzman and Samuel. I wanted to get drunk. I wanted to stop thinking about it. I grabbed a glass of wine when Guzman approached me. He seemed upset...
