Prologue
I watch, as the other angels take my newborn child away from me. She is so beautiful. Hair the color of chocolate, caramel, red velvet, and black as coffee. Her eyes are as blue as the Sebastian Sea, with specks of white, pure as snow in them. Her dark almond color skin. Her wings as black as raven's. Her teeth are what worry me though. The other angels could accept the signs of her father showing through in her hair, wings, and skin. But her teeth. One she should not have teeth in the first place. Two, her canines are fare sharper than they should be, and the rest of her teeth are somewhat sharp and a brilliant white. Sometimes light colors are a good thing, but when someone has teeth so brilliantly white it's almost unreal. They are most likely a demon. Demons, monsters, and devils teeth are some of their primary weapons. So they are born with fully grown, elongated, sharpened, and brilliantly white teeth. Now my daughters teeth aren't quite as prominent as her fathers where, but they are quite noticeable.
At this moment, Gabriel, our highest monarch, walks in. "Annabelle, my dear! How are you?" he says to me with his Italian accent.
"I'm well thank you. How is my daughter, is she healthy?" I ask.
Gabriel sighs "She is quite healthy, and quite feisty." He holds up his hand which has bite marks on it that are still healing. If they are still healing then that means the wound was bad, because angels, devils, demons, and monsters, all heal at a very rapid rate.
I take his hand and examine it, "Oh Gabriel, I am so sorry. I did not think she would do that." I say to him, I worry that it have might encouraged them to get rid of her.
"Oh it is okay my dear. She was just hungry. The others are taking care of her don't you worry." The way he said it sent shivers up my spine, and the tears started to roll down my cheeks.
"Gabriel, please. Don't harm her. I will do anything. She means everything to me. She is the only thing I have now." I whisper to him.
"Oh no dear Annabelle. The council and I have decided the instead of getting rid of her, we have given her a job." I look up at him in surprise.
"A job?" I ask.
"Yes," he replies. "a job."
"What kind of job I ask?" in delight. They aren't going to kill her.
"Well we have decided that she shall be our angel of death. Since we don't have any schools in this dimension, and since she will be in the mortal dimension a lot, when she is working. We are sending her to school there. You will go with her, we have already made fake accounts and bought you a house. You shall live there with her, and when we need you we will call for you to come home." he finishes and smiles at me.
I was so ecstatic. I was going to the mortal dimension with my daughter who is to live with me there. "Oh and one more thing Anabelle," he says. "she will need to be trained how to fight, so we will send another angel with you. We will also send some more angels with you for protection. Since she is very powerful and we don't want you to have protect her on your own, from all of the creatures that will sense her power and come for her."
I nod vigorously. "Okay Gabriel. Oh a name!"
"Pardon?"
"She needs a name."
"Oh yes of course. Do you have any ideas Anabelle?"
"Yes I do Gabriel. I think a perfect name for her would be, Luna. It's a form of the Irish name Lughna meaning, light, brightness, goodness."
"I think that's a wonderful name. I shall go tell the others." He says then turns and walks out the door. I lay back on the bed and close my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
I wake up to excruciating pain running through my body. My eyes fly open and I try to scream and thrash to get away from it but I'm paralyzed. I can't do anything. I hear laughter to my left and a hideous demon steps into view. "Hello little slut." the demon says with venom tainting his voice. "Now if your wondering what's going on, I'll tell you. You see I've poisoned your IV fluids with a very powerful, painful, and deadly toxin. Now I know your wondering, 'why, oh why would I do such a thing. You never did anything to me. We are all at peace right now right'? Well wrong, your the reason my masters gone. Your the reason there is a disgusting half breed child in their. So I'm gonna right your wrong. I'm gonna kill you and then enjoy every bit of killing that repulsive creature of yours. So nighty night, forever." He laughs callously before I see Gabriel tare his head off. Gabriel rushes over to me taking the IV out of my arm. But it's to late, the poison is already in my system. I'll be dead soon.
Though now I can speak, so I say to him, "Take care of her. Don't ever let anyone harm her. Please Gabriel. For me."
"I will protect that little angel until the day I die, and even after that if I can. If I can't then I will make a way. For you Anabelle." Hearing Gabriel say he would protect her, I smile and slip calmly into the black abyss of death.
